Poverty is no excuse for terrorism. Religious beliefs and practices are the roots of terrorism. The many British people that take off to join IS in Syria attest to the fact that poverty is not the root of terrorism. 4 Likes |

“The third dimension has to be a developmental and economic uplift agenda. Too many, particularly young people are not only without employment in the North-east but because of the insurgency are without any economic prospect whatsoever. No one can live without hope and indeed if the economic and the developmental aspect of these are not addressed, the opportunities for radicalisation are much greater. So, those three things have to work in tandem, the security instrument, politics and development/economic approach.” NOTED! So this is the main reason for insurgency in North East? Ok.......kontinue. “The third dimension has to be a developmental and economic uplift agenda. Since the amalgamation of 1914, Nigeria has remained a killing field with millions dead - till today. People in the south of Nigeria can never touch sharia criminal justice system - even with a long pole. Today's Boko Haram violence has both religious and political roots - taking over control of proceeds from natural resources and exporting Sharia criminal laws to all of Nigeria. Only means to end Boko Haram violence is to split Nigeria into manageable countries. The 12 sharia states in the north had since drawn the map of their own country. That's the more reasons why Biafra must be supported. 4 Likes

All these hypocritical imperialist should shut their stinking trap. For more than five years they aligned themselves with the enemies to make the world believe it was GEJ incompetence that made the crisis linger even when they know the asymmetric nature of the war. The north took a dangerous gamble playing religious politics forgetting that you can only instigate mayhem, but you cannot have absolute control of the extent and direction of the damage to follow 7 Likes 1 Share |

Lazy journalism, if most people bothered to read the article they would realize what he was trying to say is that it takes much more than military strikes to finish Boko Haram. Violence alone will not solve the issue, the North needs to be enlightened, the whole economy needs to be better. We need electricity and so on.... |

A Nation struck by terrorism, Nigeria shakes on her feet,15years of sufferings from the fanatics and "time to die" weirdos, apart from that, avoidable disasters springs here and there, one won't second guess the age bar of 45, economy is nose diving, government keeps handling sensitive issues with political and selfish undertones, the youth suffer most, 54years after independent we can't yet pull the Nation together but cowered under the crude earnings, uhm environment thus decides a lot of things, with several political demigod toying with the rickety status of the Nation..... smh uhm hope lingers, 9ja will survive |

Wrong and sensational headlines! What he said is that the solutions to the problem is not military alone but addressing under-development, youth unemployment and security. Therefore stop deceiving people on social media with misquotations and sensational headlines. |

This British Consular, forgot the 4th part; the Conspiracy theory sold to poor Northerns and the guy on the street against the entire Nigerians. Which I believe we need the help of the religious leaders in the North to tackle. God help Nigeria. |
