You need to come to kaduna and observe things yourself. Most of these beggars are healthy (so to say) and you would wonder what is keeping them from having a means of livelihood. I believe every single one of them have a family they come from and these families have a responsibility or more on them. the problem wit most northerners is they think having 500k is enough to marry and maintain four wives. When that change finishes, it now becomes all man for himself hence the rapid growth in number of beggars. They need to learn how to plan and live within their capacity, instead of giving birth to children who later litter the streets with rubber plates

Bro, I understand every line of your comment. However, I believe change is constant. It continue that way. Something has to be done. Measures needs to be put in placed in eradicating that beggar of a hish bug in the proper way.

wetin be 25 lives? Over 100 lives were lost. I really think that if Mr. President is opportuned to watch videos of evacuations at bomb blast scenes, he will understand the sense of urgency of fighting the boko haram criminals.

I agree the sight of beggars and hawkers can and should be done away with in every state, But it is not a one day journey. The best strategy for this is for the various state government to establish small scale profit making businesses (eg, Fashion designing, food processing, etc,), and operate them with such efficiency that the public is encouraged to buy from these businesses, so that the staff can be paid salaries. The government can then go ahead to ensure that the workers in these institutions are beggars and hawkers (an efficient registration and record keeping process will take care of this). Only then can a government be justified to ask them to leave the street. Before any directive is announced, a sensible government must make provision to cushion the effects.
