why are you surprised about that lying party. PMB wants to avoid paying the 5k he promised the jobless youths that voted him. please stop listening to any trash from that party, they are very confused and would hide under false accusation on the previous government. They are busy fighting internally as if it is only in Nigeria that the oil fall is affecting. he has gone to G7 for advice on how to run your country and they asked him for his shopping list. he is busy drafting the shopping list, he wants to give his list to children like Cameron, Michelle, Obama and co who were in university when he was first president. Change indeed, change my foot

We as citizens have been programmed and sold a lie. We endure and file out next four years to elect another round of plundering politicians.

The worst amongst US are those the politicians give crumbs to sell hope and endurance to the masses till the next elections.

Now, it is the turn of Demdem, Gbawe, egift and co to chop hence, you won't see em around cos their mouths are busy with spoils of war. Yesterday, it used to be the beafs, Okupe reno etc.

First, we've got to take care of our own- those being used by politicians to cause divisions and break our ranks. I hereby declare an e-fatwa on all known handles who has ever sticked out their necks for politicians and deliberately goes on sabbatical when water don pass garri.

Simple!
In Financial Management,
If your total asset is N1,000.00
And the total liability is N998.00
Your net asset will then be N2.00

So:
If Jonathan in his hand over note has left $30B in the foreign reserves........etc
But has also incurred so much more than what he has left in the reserve and so on,
Then the net position becomes empty

Therefore Buhari was not too wrong in saying he met an empty treasury

Jonathan who isn't learned in military tactics put up road blocks to guarantee a little security, also declared state of emergency in boko haram troubled state, then came Buhari, he first moved the military Hq to Borno, ok dat wasn't Enof then he removed the road blocks that gave us a little hope, then he approved that boko haram prisoners be moved to the peaceful SE. This is a man who was a former general and military head of state. Ok, Just less than two month after his take over, more than 500 people have been killed. But then some people would call Gej clueless, well it's ok because now we all can see the real definition of clueless. God bless Nigeria. #buhariwhatishappening#

Do you actually think this automatically erases well know facts that we know your beloved President got this Nation Broke?!!

HIS FINANCE MINISTER SAID IT HERSELF AND YOURE HERE TRYING TO PRETEND OTHERWISE. Its amazing how these kids think they can outsmart Nigerians and deceive people anyhow. If your lies were any good GEJ would still be in Office but alas thats not the case, those tricks only work down South.

I think you are missing some logic in your analysis, anyway you already said "Buhari was not too wrong in saying he met an empty treasury" meaning, Buhari is 'WRONG' in his statement.

There is a clear difference between 'Empty Treasury' and 'debt profile'

If Buhari statement was: " I met huge debt profile" your analysis would have been accepted.

But netting off outstanding debt against treasury is not applicable in this case.

Assuming Buhari said, "If we net off the debt and the cash left behind, it would be zero balance"

Then we could see reason(s) in your submission.

Hence, Buhari statement is half truth all in attempt to paint the other man black, but Nigerians are wiser and can read between the lines.

Shalom!

In the over five
years that
President
Goodluck
Jonathan has
been presiding
over the affairs
of the country,
the Federal
Government has borrowed N5.04tn from the domestic debt market.
Jonathan became Nigeria’s acting President on February 10, 2010 and
substantive President on May 6,2010 following the death of President Umaru
Yar’Adua on May 5,2010. On May 29, 2011, he was sworn in as an elected
president.
Records at the Debt Management Office showed that the domestic debt of the
Federal Government stood at N3,466,360,000,000 (N3.47tn) as of March 31,
2010.
The latest debt statistics from the DMO as of March 31, 2015 showed that the
domestic debt had risen to N8,507,545,474,000 (N8.51tn).
This means that in the last five years, the Federal Government had borrowed
N5.04tn from domestic lenders. It also means that within the period, the
domestic debt of the Federal Government grew by 157.48 per cent.
A breakdown of the domestic debt profile of the Federal Government by
instruments showed that FG Bonds accounted for N5.37tn or 63.13 per cent of
the total domestic debt.
The Nigerian Treasury Bills, on the other hand, accounted for N2.87tn or 33.68
per cent of the Federal Government total domestic debt profile.
Similarly, the Nigerian Treasury Bonds accounts for N271.22m or 3.19 per cent
of the Federal Government’s total domestic debt profile.
The DMO statistics also showed that the domestic debts of the states grew by
116.83 per cent within the same period.
As of March 31, 2015, the domestic debts of the states stood at N1.69tn or
$10.87bn. However, as of March 31, 2010, the domestic debts of the states
which were only given in dollars stood at $5.01bn.
This means that in dollar terms, the domestic debts of the states rose by
$5.85bn or 116.83 per cent in the last five years.
Within the same period, the external debts of both the federal and state
governments rose from $4,306,180,000 ($4.31bn) to $9,464,110,000 ($9.46bn).
This means that within the five-year period, the external debts of both tiers of
government rose by $5,157,930,000 ($5.16bn). In percentage terms, the
external debts of both tiers of government rose by 119.78 per cent.

Within 5 years, you doubled the debt % of the country you govern.

you more than halved the foreign reserve you met.

You almost depleted our ECA.

Tell me If you had a manager that almost left you company worst than he found it, you would b clapping for him abi?
