A South-East based pressure group, the Njiko Igbo Forum, NIF, has faulted the All Progressives Congress, APC, over its claim that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration had not made sensitive appointments because it was still cleaning the mess left by former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government. In an exclusive interview with DAILY POST in Enugu, the President of the group, Rev. Okechukwu Obioha said President Buhari and the APC should admit their failure and stop looking for excuses, noting that it was unjustifiable for the President to be running the country without Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF. While maintaining that such development was strange to democracy, Obioha said, “Buhari’s one month in government is no government at all; one had thought that as soon as he comes in, things will change because he made a lot of noise and promises during his campaign. “But from what we have so far, I will first of all say that we are having a pseudo-military president now, looking at what has happened so far. For a month plus now, this government has no SGF, it has never happened in the history of Nigeria; so, this is why we are stating that what we have is head of state, even though he answers president”. Faulting those who believe it was too early to assess Buhari, he said, “I get to wonder when some people are saying we should give him time; what time are we giving him? This is one month after; we are not even talking of ministers but that government should be set in motion; but he hasn’t done that; all he is doing is gallivanting around from one part of the world to another; we accused Obasanjo of travelling so much but his own is more; our people say that somebody whose house is burning does not pursue rat. “Now, let me say this, it is even becoming obvious that before we do anything we go to America, we go to London, we go to Zimbabwe, tomorrow we will also go to Cote D’Ivoire before we take a decision; that is why we say we continue to say that he was rigged in; we can’t expect anything because the process that brought him in is a corrupt process”. The group while sympathizing with the victims of renewed insurgents in the country, decried the transfer of Boko Haram prisoners to Anambra State, describing it as a deliberate attempt to spread the activities of the sect in the zone. The NIF President , who also expressed doubt in the ability of the Buhari administration to curtail the insurgents said, “the insurgents are angry, the people who instigated them are the one in power now, so I don’t know how they will solve this riddle; now, they are talking about negotiation, so they have now admitted that these people are stronger, they are now going back to square one, these same people were againt any decision Jonathan took, now they are going back; tomorrow, they will say they are giving them amnesty. “This brings to fore the injustice in this country; that’s why I blame Jonathan in a number of ways; look at Senator Ali Ndume, who is standing trial for Boko Haram related activities, but he is walking as a free man; then look at Biafran Zionists, they have been detained for several months now; this is why I blame so called Igbo leaders, they are only representing their belle; so, I see these people going further; that’s also why we are against what they called prison swap; it is intended to make Boko Haram spread to this place, but unfortunately we don’t have anybody to speak for us, that’s why they did this”. On the current crisis rocking the National Assembly, Obioha said Ekweremadu was being persecuted because he is an Igbo man. “You should know that the NASS we have now, the face is Coca Cola but the body is Fanta; it started during the time of Tambuwal and it was condoned, that is why the Tambuwal they are bringing now to mediate has no moral right; he can’t begin now to talk about party supremacy because he is the one that broke that jinx; that’s what these people have followed. “What we are now saying is that if it were to be a northerner, they would have conceded; its only because this is an Igbo man; they (the West) connived with the north to remove Jonathan, now they are reaping the benefit; the same NASS members voted Saraki, Dogara and Ekweremadu, so, all of them should remain there, if they are touching him, let all the NASS leaders go; Ekweremadu must never be singled out”, he stressed. http://dailypost.ng/2015/07/10/buhari-is-operating-like-a-pseudo-military-president-njiko-igbo-forum/ Cc: barcanista, ishilove, obinoscopy, omenka, lalasticlala |

Bollove: Its his opinion! Btw, can you kindly a place where that man said something wrong? He said what we are all aware of. Even, staunch PMB supporters are beginning to doubt if he can meet expectation. 1 Like 1 Share |

shudi:Only blind and bigots won't see what PMB is doing ..... GraGra approach was the style of previous administrations and at the end of the day , you would discovered that they all failed ... PMB approach is neo-approach that I believe would work. Have you seen what EFCC is doing recently, the last time that agency was active as this was 2007. Our agency has high morale now and thanks to PMB .... the rest challenges shall fall-in in due time infact after ministerial appointment . I so believe. 3 Likes |

shudi:as far as we are paying attention to the positives while challenging the negatives , our country would be better off but a situation whereby some people only wanna see evils in this administration while some only pay attention to the goods, then such would become unhealthy. we are all Nigerians and we should wish PMB success since his success is the success of our nation. 2 Likes 2 Shares |
