Helloooo, Biafra was supported by foreign powers like France, Brazil and others. So you should know Ojukwu did not fight it alone. It was because US and UK supported Nigeria and told France to back out that was why they reduced their support. Having said all that, it was a war How can you blame Gowon for fighting a war Ojukwu declared? say something about that.

Ojukwu never declared any war. He announced Biafra's secession and Gowon attacked.

You can only boast if you have something to boast for.

Civil war ended and BABA Awo said no matter how much money any Igbo had in his account in Nigerian bank before the war, any Igbo that was able to prove that he/she had an account could be given only £20.

Forty years after the war, the Igbo wax stronger, the SW declare enmity on Igbo because the Igbo is building businesses and landed property in Lagos, while the north has driven southerners away from the north.
.What type of country is Nigeria?

Chief stop spewing lies that you heard from your Grandfathers.

Awolowo wasn't the one that said Igbo's with money in the account will get 20pds. It was a federal government decision because most of the igbos that had money in the n=bank had no evidence to show they had money. C'mon are you saying they should just have given money to anybody that makes the claim? The same Awolowo your elders have poisoned your mind against was the one that set up a policy in SW to ensure that all Igbos property; land, shops and houses that they left behind before the was were returned to them after the war. Ojukwu's father had property majorly at Apapa, they were all returned to the family after the war. But your elders will not tell you all these good gestures, they wont tell you how Yorubas organized and supported their ibo neighbours after the war. Sincerely Ibos need to know that kind gesture deserve appreciation just has bad gesture deserve castigation.

The former head of state, however, lauded Ojukwu for his courage in defending his people during the war, saying: “if Ojukwu were in my shoes, he would have equally waged the war"
And, sir, if you were in Ojukwu's shoes, I bet you, you would have seceded.

Who is this idiot hating the Igbos. If I may ask; what have they done to you? This is the problem we face in this country - tribalism. I have been seeing your foolish posts different topics and you keep ranting against the Igbos even when topic isn't referring to them. What is your problem. I hate all this nonsense, we are all human beings, Africans and blacks for that matter if the one Nigeria stuff' isn't strong enough to unite us. Feel free to tell us what the Igbos have done to you or are you hating out of envy.

How can I be ruled....by someone that wants to kill me and hates all my people and others

Obiano is the new okorocha.
First that dwarf went to Buhari therefore inviting Boko Haram to his place, he then decided to double it up be inviting this Gowon monkey to come speak nonsense in a school named after ojukwu nonetheless.
The disease okorocha is suffering, obiano have contacted it. He is diseased too. May fire kill am

As for Gowon, carry your presidency and shove it up your yansh as far back, far back, as you can get it. Who wants to rule a backwards country. Carry it and shove it up. Go stop Fulani from wiping your people of the face of earth. Your youths and people need you yet we've never heard one word from you regarding it.
.

No need calling Obiano here, the vice chancellor, Prof. F. U. Okafor did invite Gen. Gowon to deliver the convocation lecture.

Meanwhile, why is this event that took place early March of this year just hitting nairaland front page today?

what a disgusting crap of shit!!!

Old man, go and celebrate the shameful deeds you've done in ur youth. God will judge you!!!

And if what you said is right.........then you would know that seccession cannot never lead to war except under a tyrant ruler.
And you very well know that the eastern government were not even prepared for any war. The decision to secceed was born out of a distress call by people humiliated and killed. You Gowon knew that there is no way the eastern govt can wage war and win because they did not secceed with any nigerian armoury nor did they acquire foreign armoury against any eventualities. You gowon knew that the easterners believed in live and lets live. So you, as the young tyrant ruler, saw the opportunity to crush them in ur pompous attitude by initiating your 'police action'.

God will certainly judge you, Old man.

I couldn't have been more apt. At his graveside he is now trying to purge his conscience of his misdeeds. The blood of those defenceless millions he killed will hunt and haunt him to his grave and in his next life. Nemesis is already playing out in his lifetime with the brutal Fulani herdsmen killing his people with reckless abandon. He will go down to his grave with knowledge and shame that the people he fought alongside to kill the Igbo's will eventually and someday genocidically clean out his people. Nemesis....a biatch.

As for the presidency, he can go stuff it up his old hairy azz. What we have ever wanted is to be allowed to go our own way. That is not asking for too much.

The rest of this entity can continue to entertain bombings from their kith and kin from the North.

The Oil market is already failing Nigeria. So I don't see the hype in the finding of oil. Besides oil as our only source of generating income is already failing us as a nation.

If oil is already failing your nation, why all the blackmail by people like you against realizing Biafra?
Was all parts of Nigeria decreed by God to remain one country forever? Why do some Nigerians still resist that Igbo leave Nigeria?

Go preach your deceptive sermon to your people with little brain.

All those are part of pragmatism instead of daylight robberies at apongbon and thirdland bridge. Claiming omo onile and struggling to park cars and extort money from people.

For your information, I have a few fairly literate ones among them working for me. I mean your people. I am Igbo.

Hey man, I've not in any way insulted you nor the Igbo nation. I expect you to reciprocate the much respect I accorded to 'big brains' like you.

Inasmuch as this is a faceless forum, you have no right to insult me cos I don't know you anywhere neither do you know me.

Nigeria will continue to be together till the end of this world. DEAL WITH THAT!
