Its your bank that will tell you or someone in usa when (s)he withdraw

But lemme tell you the truth exchange rate is not #200 for now even though Cbn devalued it to #200

Thanks a bunch

CBN piling up restrictions on naira dominated master card, cry grin fidelity bank advising me to get a dollar platinum card?! Please I have read the bank/card discussions here but a failing naira is not helping matters, a wired transfer costing 248 per dollar already grin, some once talked about buying money order from a departmental store such as kroger or walmart and go and pay it into the account, but now that CBN tails are at alert
I think its would be better for those in nigeria to weigh several options before leaving......

Lol. It's equally annoying for people reading for non academic purpose.
You can switch to Washington post. Boston Globe.
Make sure you read the art and literature reviews of these major newspapers.

Your test is almost here. You should be doing recap now. Try to master your passage speed and how to pace yourself. Because the time flies like mad especially when reading those passages.

Are you going for a Masters or a PhD? With such score, you should be aiming for a higher ranked university.

I had already applied before the score came in. I was looking for a cost friendly and effective school. Bros I wished I aimed higher. I'm going for a Masters.

Don't worry, everything is gonna be fine. Nigeria at this moment, is being restructured and pretty soon, you'll have the course to smile and be proud of the country.

It's not gonna be a source of mirage but a reality.

You could apply either next year or at the end of your Masters. I wish you luck.

Thanks man,

I'm actually doing recap... Its just the Manhattan 5 lb. Book passage section that's been fooling me all these while. It tells me I'm ready, but when I try my quashing skills on other practice tests, they pummel me and then drop C4 in my brain as a parting gift. cry cry

The manhattan book is only good for Quant section and I love maths. grin

I want to thank everyone that has contributed to this thread in one form or another. Especially those who has gotten into the United States years ago but still have the time to come here to give a little helping hand.

You see.. thats how life should be. if you dont want to end up the only champion in your village. Being the only champion makes the like every other person in your village. but when you decide to lift others with you. you automatically become a KING.

I have been reading interview transcripts since January that I started this MSc race. By 28th July I will be going in for Visa Interview. everything is set. I did TOefl and GRE. I am also an engineer in my father's petroleum firm. I pray for good success and a good testimony to teach others that working hard and praying do work.

I can't mention names.. but the idea of this write up is to Thank everyone.

we shall celebrate!

Amen!

@slimmy do you mean pharmacist earn as low as 120k monthly when converted to Nigerian currency? I thought the average salary for most pharmacist practicing in the US earn as high as 100 to 120k US dollars yearly, which is about 20 to 24 million Naira per year. Unless am really uninformed here. Thanks

Have you taken your time to digest the policy or you just took the headline. This was exactly the issue of BVN. You'll still be able to use your card here with the limits.

Every bank wants to make money. Whether Fidelity Bank, First Bank or GTB. They are all in the same freaking boat.

B1/B2 visa is a little complex because of socio-economic factors. Going to UAE couldn't have guaranteed him visa unless he's going for Business Visa. Uk and France would have been a lot better.

Please ask him to post his transcripts on the other side.

If the work experience is related to his intended program. He can still fill another one and disregard the other. Let him fill his NYSC experience

well if he wants to do that , I guess he would have to cancel his appointment and update his profile with the new ds160, but since he doesn't want to lose the date, he can go like that

Hello, boss! In the previous work section of DS160 form, what did he fill? If he has already filled something there; then, there is no need for him/her to bother himself/herself. I didn't fill anything related to the work I did during my youth service, when I filled mine. He/she should focus on preparing for his interview. Advise him/her to read interview transcripts.
