Coogar There is no way here I have said Matic is world class.... If you thin Schneiderlin is world class then I am sorry, you are a jokebag! But then maybe it depends on what your criteria is |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 3:42pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
ElFenomeno1: world class is a subjective term. what you consider world class might be village class to another so i ain't even goin to argue with that ish. all i am just proving is - schneiderlin is better than matic 5 times over. he's not the only one better than matic, coquelin is also better than matic. before daley blind went to the LB position, his statistics were better than matic. don't get fooled by the fact that chelsea won the league & that makes every one of their players world class. matic is good but abeg he couldn't have achieved what schneiderlin copped at the saints. their defence last season was world class & schneiderlin was the catalyst! |

www.nairaland.com/attachments/2624433_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188 and even with lesser number of games, Schneiderlin whoops Matic's azz. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 3:48pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
sinizia: Forget that question is first. I have proven that number 10 is upfront. Rooney didnt want to play in the wing with some defensive duties while Kagawa plays where he has played generally for United. That was what happened in Madrid. |

coogar: Ok I agree on the subjective bit. Whoever comes here and tell me Matic is world class, I will take that person down like a tower of jelly! And Schneiderlin is not world class so scummies, cool your socks! Chelsea didn't particularly stroll the league anyway ..... Arsenal and City gave it up like floozies!!! |

leggo: I'm not sure where you're going with this. Remember, you were the one who was arguing that any new signing had to be statistically better than what was on ground. What are your views on Darmian v Valencia? |

elampiro: but you know before the madrid saga, Rooney had been sad that VP was stealing his shine? one match is not enough for Rooney to start acting selfish. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nihilist: 4:00pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
sinizia: It's actually because of the fewer games that Schneirderlin's Stats look better. And your stats don't actually take that into account. 1/2 is always going to be bigger than 1/5 |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 4:02pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
AdeLaNa1: I didnt mention Rooney in that response. If you have agreed 4-4-1-1 is not much different from 4-4-2, then you are already agreeing with me. .......... 4–4–1–1 A variation of 4–4–2 with one of the strikers playing "in the hole", or as a "second striker", slightly behind their partner. [13] The second striker is generally a more creative player, the playmaker, who can drop into midfield to pick up the ball before running with it or passing to team-mates. [13] Interpretations of 4–4–1–1 can be slightly muddled, as some might say that the extent to which a forward has dropped off and separated himself from the other can be debated. The system was most prominently used during the 2009–10 season by Fulham F.C , with midfielder Zoltan Gera playing behind forward Bobby Zamora as they upset many teams across Europe on their way to the 2010 UEFA Europa League Fina ......... 4–2–3–1 This formation is widely used by Spanish, French and German sides. While it seems defensive to the eye, it is quite a flexible formation, as both the wide players and the full-backs join the attack. In defense, this formation is similar to either the 4–5–1 or 4– 4–1–1. It is used to maintain possession of the ball and stopping opponent attacks by controlling the midfield area of the field. The lone striker may be very tall and strong to hold the ball up as his midfielders and full-backs join him in attack. The striker could also be very fast. In these cases, the opponent's defense will be forced to fall back early, thereby leaving space for the offensive central midfielder. This formation is used especially when a playmaker is to be highlighted. The variations of personnel used on the flanks in this set-up include using traditional wingers, using inverted wingers or simply using wide midfielders |

Nihilist:I said so? yet I wanted alves who who was statistically inferior to Valencia as his replacement? I didn't want clyne simple as ABC.. and what has that got to do with the Schneiderlin/matic convo? Was matic a world class player before joining Chelsea or did a single season at Chelsea automatically make him world class? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 4:08pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
elampiro: he doesn't have to say he's sad na, his actions and inactions proved so. haba Elamps. if Rooney was happy, would he have submitted a transfer request? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nihilist: 4:10pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
leggo: You didn't know that Alves was stastically inferior. When I compared Val to all the other FB's and showed that he bested them all by your standards, your response was 'That's why I wanted Alves' It was when we applied the Valencia test to Alves, and saw that he too had failed it. Anyway, World Class as an appellation is form related, and Yes Matic became world class at Chelsea. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by sinizia: 4:12pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
Nihilist: it's not my stat, Coog uploaded it. and i don't agree with you. with more game time, Matic had more opportunities have a better stat or make more contributions than Schinerdlin. |

sinizia: I don't think you understand how averages work. The more appearances you make, the lower your averages get. Hence 1/2 bigger than 1/5 |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 4:16pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
sinizia: He was unhappy about the number 10 not number 9. He gladly played the number 10 for Moyes when Moyes took over. Dont tell me about contact renewal because Rooney played 10 for Moyes in 2013 before his contract was renewed in 2014. |

coogar: Look at United official website described the number 10 as upfront in a 3-4-1-2 formation. .......... Van Gaal tried some of his squad members in new positions on the pre-season tour of the United States. Ashley Young was deployed as a wing-back, Wilfried Zaha played up front and Kagawa adopted a holding midfield role. "It has been seven or eight years since I played as a defensive midfielder, but the important thing is I do my best in whatever position I am asked to play in," Kagawa said. "I have to achieve results wherever I play. http://www.manutd.com/en/News-And-Features/Football-News/2014/Aug/shinji-kagawa-and-manchester-united-will-use-last-season-as-trigger.aspx |

Ivanovich as the best rb in the league last season, statement of fact or opinion the only fullback linked to UTD this season I wanted was Alves" - this was my response word for word and my very next post was that he was a free agent...small small o |

coogar:Southampton conceeded the least number of goals in d league last season. And Schneiderlin was an integral part of that feat. That's some impressive somtin. Which is why of all our signings, its Schneiderlin dat makes me d most happy. Dude is a very solid and composed DM. Plus he's Young. Plenty of time to be even better than Carrick |

Nihilist: what has fewer games gotta do with per 90 metrics? do you understand statistics at all or do we have to keep spoonfeeding you? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nihilist: 4:33pm On Jul 13, 2015 |
coogar: You are trying to judge who is better by stats(which is silly anyway) You compare Rafael per 90( 5 games) to Valencia (20 games) Can you not see the obvious flaw in that? Or do I have to spoon feed you? |
