I bet u had a great day at work. So did I until I broke up with my GF of 15months.

I am curious and I want to know, how do people get over heart breaks? This was my first true love, I haven't taken love seriously, but when I eventually gave it a shot, it hurt.

I really don't want to talk about cause of break up, I will like to respect and protect her. But I did the only right thing, trust me.

Emotionally, am a wreck. Its quite fresh so I still think about the times we shared.

Please share, how did you get past this stage and the consequential stages. Am a brick on the outside, but soft on the inside.

I have tried picking up new hobbies, I don't want to smoke or drink (will only ruin me). Besides, its Ramadan.

I am confused.... Plz suggest something to me.

Avoid staying alone as much as u can
Try to widen out
Remove anything that can remind u of her- pix, phn number, mssgs- at least till you pass this stage
watch all football matches when u are less busy n
STAY away from love songs o

I can't reply all comments... But I am grateful to all contributors. Some responses are inspirational, some are comical and some unnecessary. All in all, am motivated... I appreciate your efforts.

Some one recommended a book to me, I will buy tomorrow. And I have been told to get rid of all reminders, as a lady suggested here. I deleted the pics, videos and messages. Though more are coming, which am trying to ignore.

Hmmm. Basically going through this same thing right now. My relationship lasted 7 months. Gf wakes up and is like we need to talk. Only for her to tell me she looses her peace anytime she thinks of marrying me (mind you this is someone that has made up all our wedding plans o.) Long and short we broke up. I love this girl like crazy. Introduced her to everyone that matters in my life. I'm not so heart broken which is a surprise to Me. Maybe it's because my intentions were clear, she was always my priority, I never cheated. When I look at it, I say it's her loss.
OP..just focus on you. The best revenge is when they see you doing better than they ever imagined. Surround yourself with true friends and family. They will help you pull through..and remember, it's one day at a time..
