I first read this article today on Beegeagle's blog. Barcanista most likely lifted it from there. However, there is no substance in it. At least 3 credible military sources have commended the appointment of Monguno! People who know him know that he is vastly read, highly intelligent, and capable.
I believe today's appointments should be commended by all, even the most credible of oppositions do commend good things. In many aspects, Monguno is better than Dasuki.

It's from The Nation, but his views are not those of the management. He's just a columnist with an opinion. I'll check his other articles to see how sound his analyses are.

The DIA at no time in the past or present had anywhere near 100,000 operatives on its pay roll.

That false claim already calls into question the credibility of the other claims.

The next few months will tell if General Monguno's appointment was a masterstroke or not.

Until then, I say kudos to the President for taking his time to effect the change of guard at the Defence headquarters.
