Aareonakakanfo: The ones I see on NL are between over grown babies fighting for tribal relevance here on NL. Before Kanu was, there was already this bad blood I see here on NL between igbos and yorubas, besides, let's leave Kanu aside, no igbos has taken arms to fight yorubas. I don't even think the igbos will dare except they are pushed to.Again, it's not enough to criticise igbo race. Igbos being on Facebook and running their own social handle shouldn't be no one's business. Remember they are agitating for thier own self determination. As far as no one has picked a cutlass to arm any yoruba man for biafra, I dont think there's a problem here. There's also a yoruba group, set up to discuss yoruba interest. Lagos is for Lagosians. I am born and bred in Lagos. My primary school and secondary was in lagos, and by extension I still studied in Benin. My MSC. is also from from south west.u don't have the right to tell me I am less of a yoruba woman. You may not even be a Lagosian by birth! Or a Lagosian at al. Did you say moving after the war? To where if i may ask? To the same land a non existent biafra c that majority of the igbos are beginning to crave for? The same biafra that was fought and lost with their own blood? and years later, they still want and still agitates for? Truly I am yet to get a tangible explanation why you think the igbos are hateful. All the excuses up there are just too flimsy to cause tribal hatred. You are not hitting the nail on the head.I need to be informed about what justifies igbos being an hateful tribe. 4 Likes |

ibedun: very true....what people fail to realise is that for the Oba.... a first class traditional one at that to have been forced to make that statement.....he must have been pushed too far.....omooluabis have always turned a blind eye but now they can see....the oba merely voiced what people were noticing.....the problem is being caused by those newly arrived iboes in the SW who are jealous of the success of those iboes who have been long established and are thriving in the SW...... 4 Likes 1 Share |

Still waiting for a tangible a d rational explanation about the "hateful"igbos in other western states apart from lagos. The "no man's land" misguided words is enough to cause a problem, just like the "throwing of igbos in the Lagoon" saga in Lagos. Now that some rational igbo groups want peace, let's talk about other western states that care more about lagos than the lagosians. |

I've never had trouble with Igbos, In fact while growing up in Ilorin as Yoruba boy, I knew Igbos I called good friends, I mean our Neighbors (Igbos) always left their kids at our house to babysit while they were at work. My dad worked for NEPA, and he was a trader at a Market close by, so they sort of knew each other, and even for a while we tapped to their dstv cable for a while before we moved to our own home. The first time I had a problem with an Igbo person was in Lagos when I came on a summer break, the kid probably was my age then was mean, and the mom said, in her words "I couldn't follow her son to play" lmaoo ignoring the bad english. the kid pressed my button, I beat the hell out of him, while i was unaware he pushed me in that smelly lagos gutter brah! God saved him my older cousin came to stop the fight, I would have fed him that gutter water. I don't how a little kid was fed so much hate by his mom and possibly his dad too. Funny thing is he came around before I left Lagos. 4 Likes 1 Share |
