The Senate makes laws, and if this should be a problem, then the majority party should just take it to the floor for a vote and change it.

They have the majority, so I don't see why there should be any problem.

And if they can't get majority, they shud accept their fate.

Misleading headline. There's no indication that the APC and PDP will have equal number of committee heads. It is fair for each state to have at least one committee chairman but of what benefit is this to the state? I thought the committees are there to serve the entire nation by discharging their duties effectively and efficiently? I guess it boils down to naira and kobo. By the way, who makes these standing rules.

Federal Character is enshrined in our constitution,so these shouldn't call for any crisis unless you have the born to rule mentality or their slave.

What exactly is the problem? This is something that advocates equitable representation. Is there any Senator more Nigerian than another? Why are they then kicking against it? That u arrived the Senate via a particular party doesn't mean the party determines the rules of the House. Party activities must be kept separate from issues of governance. All hands must be on deck and let right prevail. None is designed to be enslaved to another so supposed numerical strength should not be used to attempt to oppress others.

This should keep members of the NASS up and doing so that all those there know they have specific assignments which they must carry out not hiding under the guise of party membership to become lazy! This is #CHANGE so they should be prepared to do the correct things and if different from the past governments then so be it. That is what was promised! If u keep running back to previous practices when there are better alternatves where then is the change?

It is time for parties to be formed and stand on ideologies which they actually believe in not just prostituting from one to another because of 'juicy' appointments. That way when anyone chooses to leave one for another ur is because of personal and patriotic convictions not for self-gain.

This APC senators sef. You said what you brought is change yet you want to run 8th assemble the way PDP ran 7th assemble. Hypocrites. PDP wil teach you hard lesson in that house.
