@safarigirl. I've just listened to the song and I can tell you the first honour should go to the producer. He did a nice job infusing those traditional instruments. Then Phyno. Phyno is the only rapper that I've heard in Nigeria currently that have a "natural" flow. Rapping to him is just like drinking water. This's how you know a good musician. That Uzi like Olamide may be good, but is that the type of song Nigerians would want to listen?. 2 Likes |

For me, these released good mainstream hip-hop songs are just there! --- I love Modenine's sublime "Pentium IX Mixtape" to pieces! The best underground Nigerian hip-hop work there is! Lines so creatively crafted - trust that dude all day everyday on that one! --- I can sing virtually every track on that mixtape and/or listen to my favourite track "Mixtape Material" off the mixtape for a million times! |

Noticed some posters saying Olamide would have been a better fit instead of Reminisce.... Lamispaco: The day reminisce drop something tighter than blood money, hood rap and zero joy olamide's verses off street OT I will rate reminisce higher. For now olamide's rap is better. Don't blame olamide for pushing only his commercial materials out. He needs more money, he fell off after his rhapsody album which was more rap. |
