really need more schools

No we don't!

All 36 states in Nigeria have atleast 3 or more higher institutions (excluding college of education)

Its not about quantity, but quality.

Actually, those uni's wish they could take more students but they can't because they don't have enough facilities.

We need to focus of standard of education not creating more schools.

I think we need to make rooms for more technical base and engineering education. You obviously need more artisans and technicians than engineers and technologies, the current situation where everyone wants to go to the university is not encouraging.

A third world country like ours need to train more artisans and technicians to help us in our industrialization drive, mining and agriculture

So what is the role of polytechnics now? Or you have forgotten?

I was surprise to see my school in the first 10 list of most sought after. The school is underrated especially in the southern and Western part.

These cut off marks, does it apply to Those who wrote the last jamb ? Cos my brother got 198 and choose Unilag as first choice, then yaba tech as second choice. If it applies, is it possible for him to go get the post jamb form if its out already ?

More schools to do what? Pour more graduates with awesome results but no enabling environment?
We don't need more schools, infact we need to discourage tertiary education a little and encourage skill development. a first class BEng. Petroleum Engineering degree holder from the University of Portharcourt who hasn't seen a rig/exploration site is just irritating!, but that's what we have in this country. The meaning of Bachelor in BEng or BSc is totally misconstrued over here.

Nice one. u hit d nail on head.
