I rep Unilorin.. Better by far smiley..107k is too much really and the school will not admit more than 5k entries 6k at most. So over 100k to be disappointed embarassed embarassed... We need more schools in Nigeria.

**Modified**. Graduated 2012, so I hear Unilorin now take as much as 14-15k now. Good to know. But still we are on same issue we need more credible schools and more courses to meet with High number of applications yearly.

Yes, more universities needed, but will PMB ever agree?

Buhari's history shows that he is not in good tunes with education and youths welfare.

OK I don hear make una no vex. Graduated 3 years ago so lots must have changed by now. I know the school keeps improving. But still at 14k accepted entries compared to 107 total applicants we still on same page. We don't have enough credible schools in this county.
you talk of credible schools? First of all, we don't need more schools. The existing ones should be upgraded to standard for more quality graduates to be produced. So you want more schools with half-baked graduates?

It's not a must you must go to the university. That's the reason polytechnic are there. Everyone must not be a university graduate that's one reason the nation is technologically backward.

Lastly, I don't even think that unilorin is credible enough among credible schools. The sch is just over hyped.

that was them my guy. The school is living on past glory. The unilorin of today is a shadow of its former self.

The school high influx of jamb candidates is not because it has a very good standard or produce quality graduates, it's just because of the no strike action.

Let me clear your doubt.

Firstly, unilorin set one of the cheapest post ume questions among top schools in Nigeria. When I saw their post ume question of last year & last two years, I was disappointed. You can't get such cheap and give away questions in schools line OAU, UNIBEN & UI.

Secondly, the rate at which they run their semesters is just too short. A school that run two section sometimes in a year. They don't care if the student have been taught or lectured. All in the school mind is to write exams and then proceed to the next level. When I some of my friends note in that school, I shear tears because all what they do is teach two or three times then set exams. That can hardly happen in schools i mention above.

I served in kwara state and I communicate with most of the student. Most of them can't compose good english. You see then referring past as present and also present as past. Most are not just eloquent in their communication. That's not too good for a university graduate. I know it's in every school but unilorin is just a case. You will be talking to someone in english, before you know the person will jump to yoruba or start missing tenses.

The administration in the school is just all about money and not quality or brains. That's the reason the bright ones most times don't get admitted because they didn't pass through the back doors, only some that are very lucky. You will see the ones that don't even know what is an "atom" admitted to study biochemistry or pharmacy.

Some many flaws are in that school. If not because of the no strike action in the school. The school would have just been there...

firstly,

Firstly, Unilorin don't sell their post ume past questions, the present alleged unilorin post ume past questions in circulation were just compiled by a random person for profit motive because the school is the most sought after, you can do some findings to know the authenticity of that issue...

secondly, unilorin has never completed two sections in a year, that is a blatant lie, Inasmuch they run a fast calendar, check out schools like KWASU and most private universities, they're also fast..

Lastly, due to how corruption has eaten deep in our educational system, unilorin is not an exception, I agree with the fact that some students follow through the back door to get admitted which is applicable to all tertiary institutions in Nigeria..
But according to the school ethic, if you're not able to make a cgpa of 1.5 and 3.0(medicine & surgery) after your first year, you'll be withdrawn from the school, that's separating the good eggs from the bad, NO SCHOOL DOES THIS

and for your info sir, Unilorin is one of the few schools in which you can't bribe a lecturer for ONE MARK

lol, we're not the best, but we're among the best..
