TAM of the Refineries were executed by GEJ Administration. Has Buhari appointed any Minister? Has Baba Go - slow come up with any plan? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Naija peeps let's stop all dis GEJ bashing and pls let's give credit to whom it is due. Jonathan was responsible for the TAM of our refineries it just happened that the TAM was finished shortly after he left power. So congrats to him for doing this. Now that GEJ is no longer in power what we shld now pray for is that Buhari's govt shld build on this so that the 4 refineries will all work at maximum capacity n dat importation of refined fuel will cease. This way fuel importers will stop holding d country to ransome. The refineries working will mean 1) more jobs for pple especially Engineers (graduate and experienced). 2) No more fuel shortages n scarcity There are some saboteurs dat are fighting day n night to ensure that the refineries remain shut cos they are making a huge fortune importing fuel at the suffering of Nigerians, it's these kind of people that we need to fight against because the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians shld come first b4 the selfish interests of any greedy individual. This has gone on for to long so enough is enough. 4 Likes |

anigbajumo:you see, this insult is uncalled for. Can't say what you feel without insulting me? Just know it's a sign of immaturity, don't do it again. On the matter, the fact that buhari is president right now does not mean he carried out the project. This project was awarde and paid for during jonathan's tenure. NOW what's the argument? 1 Like |

1bunne4lif: Initial scope was done under GEJ, but because of vested interests, the refineries were not focused on. As recent as March 2015, GEJ's administration insisted that it would be impossible to bring the refineries on stream before 2017. It took the change of guard at he FG for the refinery management to know that they can bring them online in two months. Here's the question, why would the FG lie about the TAM when it is possible to get the refineries operational faster than stated. Something is just not right. 4 Likes 3 Shares |

by gallivanting you mean trying to be of help? by gallivanting you mean trying to put things in place thereby creating more jobs? by gallivanting you mean trying to uplift our country from crisis and economic meltdown? this is the problem we have in Nigeria. people who try to render some form of assistance are being castigated unjustly. how will this country move forward with such mentality? The kind of comments made by PDP loyalists on nairaland is mind shattering. It beats the imagination of a sane reasonable person who knows that 1 + 1 = 2, but loyalists of PDP would rather we believe 1 + 1 = 11. This is the kind of deranged and demented fellows that make up and support the PDP. How will the APC be put on their toes when there is no credible and sensible opposition? Honestly, every PDP supporter on nairaland need to change this unproductive negative attack on President Muhammadu Buhari and focus on value based opposition, rather than trade insults like market women in Mushin market. If PDP continues to attack Mr. President like a diseased rabid dog, then the APC might continue in power for the next 50 years. 2 Likes |

musiwax:but the fact remains that jonathan made payments and the rehabilitation started during his time or do you want to tell me that buhari who is still trying to cope with the reality did it under a month? The problem here is that nairalanders are trying to take it away entirely from goodluck which i think is unfair 1 Like 1 Share |

erico2k2: Take this to Church. There was no plans to do the TAM till 2017 towards the end of Jonathan's supposed 2nd term or 3rd term. Buhari is 100% responsible for this. |

I was there today. Our folks are working very hard to revive the refinery. The furnace or distill equipment have been burning since morning. Also the zoo people living around the refinery Road has turned it into a refuse dump, it's not sight to behold. Those house dirty people dumping refuse in the middle of the road. God bless the indigenous hard working people building and expanding output capacity. |

GEJ should not be linked with anything success about our refineries. He had already concluded arrangements to sell them if he won second tenure. Fortunately, God punished him and kicked him out. |
