Hi Shyee, Do you know your centre number and Candidate number? If yes, you can easily know your TRF reference no as it is combination of the 2 nos, 3 letters of your surname, first letter of your name, year of exam and the type of your test you wrote. Please note that I did the same as I wanted to submit my profile on EE on Friday cos I suspected that there will be a draw. When my TRF was delivered on Saturday, the reference no matched what I indicated in my profile. I don't even think my registration would have gone through with a wrong TRF reference no. Hi Garykasparov, As I earlier said I did not prepare enough for the section. However, from the little experience I had during the preparation and test, I can say preparation and proper planning of time is key. As one will not be given extra marks for writing more words than required, it is better to stay within the word limit given (say, 160 words for letter and about 270 words for essay). Time wasted on writing extra words could be used to edit your essay and correct any mistakes you might have made. Also, while preparing for the writing section, don't just read the questions and assume you will be able to write it during the actual exam. Put yourself in the exam condition and try to write at least 3 letters and essays before the exam. This will help you to know your weak areas and work on the areas. Also, it will give you a rough idea of how many lines you need to write to make up 150 words and 250 words. So, you won't have to waste precious time counting your words during the exam. In addition, plan what you want to write before you actually start writing and ensure you answer all the questions. For instance, this was my writing question: Coins and paper money will soon be replaced by credit and bank cards. Eventually we will have a cashless society which will be safer and more convenient for everyone. To what extent do you agree or disagree? You should use your own ideas, knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence. You have to support your answers with examples and relevant evidence. Do not forget that. Imagine I googled my question now and realised they have asked this question before. This is to show that they repeat questions. So, one can't go wrong by practising. Finally, I used pencil to write so it was easy for me to erase and correct my write-up. This is dependent on your level of preparation though. I did not do all these things but I was fortunate to get 7.5. However, in hindsight, I would have prepared better for it. Wow!!! I have written too many words again Garykasparov: 1 Like |

Hi Garykasparov, I have responded to your email. Looking at the topic again, I am sure mine was tweaked a bit. I just copied this one word for word from google. Mine said "Is it a negative or positive development?" I can't remember precisely how many paragraphs I wrote. I think I wrote about 3-4 paragraphs excluding the 2 you mentioned. I was rushing so I did not even have the time to go through my write-up. I think I used the 1st for the introduction, where I supported payment by cards. I supported my opinion with reasons in the next 3 paragraphs. I gave some disadvantages/shortcomings of cards in the 5th paragraph and I concluded with the 6th paragraph. I believe this no of paragraphs are just too many. That was why I had too many words. I wanted to write everything I could think of. I would have preferred a shorter and better structured write-up. I hope this answers your question. Garykasparov: 1 Like |

berexio1: calculate ke, is it me to calculate or the CRS, well i calculated the range of 370 based on what i have. i think the CRS will clarify that when i finally have my TRF. would have gotten the TRF but i don't have the centre number for Mauve 21 at Ring road, Ibadan. i just used the tool, i had 414 |

Then it will be difficult for you to determine your TRF reference No. The Centre Nos that I saw online are the ones for Abuja and Lagos. You might have to wait for the TRF then or you could try to find out from people who will be writing in your location soon. Shyee: |
