I think what jamb was trying to say is universities can not accept less than 180 not that they must accept 180. Some federal 'unis' still accept 180 while unilag,oau,ui etc will stick to their score

UI, OAU, UNILAG I know will never go for anything less than 200. 200 doesn't even guarantee you admission in these schools. The FG should simply make 180, 150 or even 120 the cut-off mark for northern students and for northern universities only. Please help us raise the bar in the South. If you wake me up without prior information and ask me to sit for UTME, I'll surely score more than 180. Mtcheew, no wonder I came across corpers who couldn't write or speak correct English language. JAMB cut off mark has always been relatively low, especially since the advent of POST UME. The schools would still cut a lot of them off.

I am saying this because of those people that claimed they scored 400 in their time.

JAMB is not saying it you have 180 you will get admission. You just have a chance getting one simple, why don't you write JAMB have 180 and apply for law in any uni and see if you will get admitted

N:B- Before anyone spews thrash, I wrote Jamb once, had 248 and scored 78% in my Post Ume exam.

true talk.....jamb calculators was not available at my centre in 2011,and i got 264.....Talking 'bou' times when reading and food do create the same excitement state.

[b][/b]Haba Nigerians! At least read and understand what is stated before rushing to comment. Some people just read headlines and they jump into conclusion. It is clearly stated that 180 and 150 is the minimum(lowest) requirement for admission into Universities and Polytechnics/Colleges of Education in Nigeria. Universities and Polytechnics are still at liberty to set thier individual cut-off for various courses as high as they deem fit.
