I think its more about what PSG want.
If we can get Lwandowski we would keep di maria. but if all other options are out and woodward/lvg see cavani as the only way to go it is very likely psg would sell to us only if we can give them di maria.

Well, regardless of that. LvG had no need to publicly blast him like that. Totally unnecessary.

What players should understand is dat LVG hates egos ,he wants every player to be seen as equals n certainly wants every player to follow his instructions without disrespect else u r dropped or sold. Case in mind is when he was asked why he kept Herrera on d bench despite being bought for an expensive sum ,he reacted angrily n told d reporters flat out dat he doesn't care how much he's bought n he did one better by benching di maria in favor of young. He is d rougher version of SAF who hates having players challenging his authority so my guess is Valdes must hv refused to play a particular reserves match n dat got him super annoyed.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not complainig about LvG. We all know him and his rep. SAF was pretty similar also. There is a nastiness that comes with that type of drive and winning mentality.

When players start disobeying managers' basic instructions you are encouraging an atmosphere of chaos and indiscipline.
And when it is squad/rotation players that are doing this then you know there is serious gobe on the horizon.

I think you guys have been watching the wrong Rojo or probably have mistaken him for another player. The Rojo i know is a majestic defender and a tough tackler. Pacey, energetic, and strong. The arsenal game for example, He single handedly held the whole Arsenal attack to ransom, evidence to the Goal we conceded after he was substituted.

Yeah but this is Aloysius we are talking about, thank heaven he has not showed his b.a.l.l.s to anybody in England.

He had been conceding fouls and making last ditch tackles all day long......and you know that those tackles are usually due to poor positioning. IMO LVG was forced to bring on the unprepared Blackett in that match cos Rojo had become a liability.

I am not as impressed by tackling as i am by interceptions, organizational and leadership ability ,aerial dominance, pace.

I really hope he comes good, i have nothing against the guy. But those kamikaze tackles remind me of Gabby Heinze and not in a good way.

definitely.
reading the game, positioning an awareness would lead to interceptions and clearances.....low risk moves.
a tackle is a high risk move usually needed to cover for poor awareness or positioning.

Firstly; you, me and every other man utd fan know we do not have an organised defence talk more a leader in our backline. Since this Organisational and leadership skill is missing, the interception rate is on the downside and can only be made up for by tough tacking. Tackling doesn't simply equate red cards, becos thats what you're making it look like. Since we don't have the organisational skill, we should thank Rojo for rendering a way out "if you can't get to the ball before them(interception), get them off the ball(tackling)". All in all i think Tackling and intercepting are essential aspect of a top defender and they both work hand in hand and compliment each other. You can't be everywhere every time. And lastly i see Rojo more as Sergio Ramos than Heinze. Though he is a Sergio Ramos minus red cards. Ramos-Red cards=Rojo.
