Looks like your university has tuition fee. You might need to pay it especially if it is quite large

@Ethelbert006 to add to what Ceeesaw said, for 12), Indicate from the month you wish to enter Germany. Say, for instance, your enrollment is scheduled for October 1, it would be advisable you put your duration as: September 2015 - (month- This should naturally be August, but usually, one cannot predict. Just put a realistic month, like, say, August) 2017. I'm of the opinion that your Visa, if approved, would be valid only from the indicated month, and I doubt you would be able to enter Germany before that month.

11) what are you doing currently? If you have a job, state what you do.. If you just finished Secondary School and going for Bachelors Programme then "None" can suffice.. If you finished University, then you can state what you read. Eg if your read engineering, that makes you an engineer..etc

13) Let me rephrase that question.. who has been providing your needs and will continue to provide for you even when you are in Germany. Dont put 'self' if you havent worked for a considerable amount of time with evidence that you are financially okay to sustain your self through out your stay in Germany.. I will suggest Parents or any other family member..

Bros I just used same Fidelity to initiate transfer to pay for accommodation. I have some questions
1) You filled only Form A but didn't fill International funds Transfer form right?
2) If I am not mistaken, you did yours at the HQ right? How long did it take exactly from the time you filled the form A to the time you were debited and to the time you received your Telex receipt? I did mine at a branch and the pretty lady couldn't assure me on a particular date that the transfer would be completed. She even sent a message to the HQ branch and they replied her saying "well, they hope they can beat the deadline as it depends on the availability of forex in the inter-bank transfer market. And since she sent my docs this afternoon to HQ in VI saying its HQ that does the transfer, I dunno how long it will take since I have a deadline of Thursday next week to pay up.

2, It took approximately 2 working days. I did it on friday at 2.30pm and on Tuesday, Evening at 6 the bank initiated the transaction. Though they said it might take longer citing excuse of lack of funds on treasury. If you decide to use another bank its probably going to be same issues as CBN is making it difficult. Anyway I got Deutsche Bank confirmation around 48 hours of the date or time it was initiated. Mine was dont at the HQ. However, any major local branch can do it for you. They will send to HQ for processing. It could take as fast as possible. I will predict one week..

What they do is simply bid for it using the interbank current exchange rate. The rate for EUR is going down because of Greece euro exit talk.

The Fidelity bank chic just called me talking long story. She asked for my Certificate that time but I lied say I no get Certificate when in truth na because the original dey Embassy and I wanted to be safe in case they would need original docs..

She come add say the only wey dem go use statement na if there is a proof that convocation has not been done in the school ((Find out more sha from the bank if u intend to use Statement). I gats return with d certificate (fotocopy) on Tuesday now
Anyway sha, this thing just dey pain me, cos the exchange rate been low die gaan and na weekends de usually get best exchange rates of that week... Plus the fact say na Thursday deadline I get...anyway God DEY.

Use photocopy of your Certificate. That was what I stated here. Graduate certificate. Tell them all your originals are in the embassy. if you got certified copy take it along and show them..

You don't need to book appointment for that one. Just go to the embassy with. 2 copies. Of DB Form, your passport data page, admission letter and 4500 naira. Fill the form but don't sign it. You will sign infront of the officer.

yeah...thats the only accommodation one should pay for from Nigeria. Where art thou headed? Did access bank complain of lack of funds in the treasury too?

The email was perfectly fine. Same format as the normal student visa message with my interview scheduled for 14.08.15 and nellyb24 on 13.08.15. no use of VIDEX form was indicated here. Meaning itz the normal LONG STAY VISA.

Then Yesterday, we both received anoda email indicating a change of our dates to 11th august and instructions to fill the VIDEX application form which represents SHORT STAY VISA.

Thats the problem now. Your views and possible solutions on this matter will be appreciated

Why not call the embassy or beta still do as the last email says and go on that date since the first email date is before the first date. I think it is a mistake from the embassy, probably some people cancelled their appointments and they decide to bring you guys to that date. Might be wrong thou.on that day, It's either they apologise or conduct the interview but am sure it will be conducted using the last email date. You can print using the videx as instructed by last mail and still have ready long stay application aside as indicated by the first mail. If I were you, I did take this steps.

This is specifically for those who are applying, have applied for or have done a bachelor's course and a studienkolleg, how did you get admission?

What I mean is that to get admitted into a German university, you need an abitur equivalent degree and WASSCE isn't but you can still apply.

However, (*) you need to do enroll in a studienkolleg but to do that, you have to have admission from the university & pass an entrance test given only in Germany and you can't go to Germany for a studienkolleg without a student visa and to get a student visa, you need an admission letter and ... it goes back to (*).

So was your admission letter a conditional letter stating that you have to pass the studienkolleg or what?

That's nothing to fret about. let me add a bit to what others have suggested.

During my research, I also found out that the VIDEX is for Short term visa, and not Student Visa. (I may be wrong though cos these guys keeps changing procedure every now and then) Moreso, there's a second form that needs to be filled. Like "Anti terriorism" stuffs. were you asked to bring that along or ignore it?

In my candid opinion, I will suggest you print out the Videx form and also the conventional visa application form for students, Send an email to them seeking more clarifications about the most viable option. then await their response. I know someone who's interview is on the 11th and 12th of August and never got the message.

Hello everyone.. About the new summer course at Goethe Institute Lagos starting 3rd August and ending on the 28th of August (4 weeks). I read it's for Level A1.
My question is would one be given the Level A1 certificate?(*because there is no A1 exam date stated) Or its just preparatory A1 classes .

Blocked account is blocked at 670euros per month. The moment you have spent (or withdrawn) said amount, the account is suspended till the next month. Only option is if you have extra (or carry over from previous months). The 670 euros basically is for your living expenses per month. At the end of the first year, the account is unblocked.
