ollah1:this isn't an android thing! I had this feature on my nokia N8 so it's not like it is new technology. every major os supports miracast: android, blackberry, ios(air play) and windows. I also broadcast files seamlessly from my laptop to my tv. if the op won't feel I am hijacking the thread I could give a step by step tutorial on how to do that.....wirelessly of course. basically it's for mirroring your device's screen to your tv. phone must support wifi direct and essentially your tv must have built-in wifi capability or you can buy an external dongle for your tv to be able to receive signals streamed from your phone or computer. 1 Like |

Re: How To Connect Android Devices To TV Wirelessly by symbianDON(m): 1:00pm On Jul 17, 2015 |
sauceny:go to settings > connections > screen mirroring switch it on and press scan.....your tv's miracast connection MUST be on.....if it is, then you will see your tv's connection name on your s4. connection is automatic. once completed, your phone's screen should be on your tv. |

martineverest: If you wanna reply messages then quote the person. I didn't know I have a mention from you until I opened this thread. Google could have a disappointing computer sales doesn't mean it was a bad year for them regarding that product . They might not sell to their expectation dosnt mean they didnt sell quite well. Chromebook is in its infact stage and it's sold mainly in the states. The concept behind it is completely diff but people are learning to adapt to it. It's the easiest OS to use. If chromebooks wasn't selling, virtually all oems wouldn't be making it. Name one strong oem that hasn't or doesn't make chromebook? Google glass is a new thing. It's an innovative product. Not all products boom at a go and not products would boom. That makes the company innovative, hence the love and respect I have for Google than other companies. Microsoft have launched loads of products that failed. Their most recent os is also a failure, abi I lie? Google glass 2 would launch soon nd expect Google to bounce back. You know about driverless cars? You know about project FI? 1 Like 1 Share |

symbianDON: I'm not disputing that fact, symbian has always been a beast of an OS. I loved it and used it to the fullest before switching to android all thanks to Nokia. This is the beauty of open source. If you have the step by step details on it then kindly paste it cos it seems so many people don't still know who to go about it. It's 2015 we should be enlightened about everything tech. This thing is so old but not everyone seem to knw about it So bro, it's not hijacking it's supporting which will benefit everyone. ollah1:ok then. thanks for your post. firstly I think most people are confused about one thing: ONLY high end tv sets come with wifi dongle built-in!! so most people with actually find that they are unable to find any way to connect to their tv sets. however, as the op said and as I pointed out....you can buy an external wifi dongle for your tv. I will use my phone (samsung galaxy s4) to connect and I will be posting the step by step pix here. I will also connect using my laptop (running windows 8.1). I will also post the step by step pix here. note that windows versions 8.0 below won't work unless you use a third party software like connectify. 2 Likes |

martineverest: Reading a couple of reviews on an OS that is yet to debut does not make u a tech savvy person. There was so much fuzz about windows 8 before it debuted now some of us want our windows 7 back. So please don't claim to know the future of android when currently they are doing so well technically. 2 Likes |
