OLAADEGBU:'Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me:' I could have easily have forwarded a link but I think I can eaisily answer this question. To die is different from sleeping, Jesus didn't die for it is written, 'it is appointed for man to die once, after that is judgement.' (to man he died, to Him, he slept). Even when Jesus knew he was 'falling asleep', he still had 'fears' that the FATHER won't wake him up, but he surrendered, great was His faith! Great was His sacrifice! Many today think Christ's beating was His Greatest sacrifice, (great was this) Its his 'sleep'. 'And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.' |

To answer this Question we need to understand the 3 phase life of Jesus. 1. IN HEAVEN: Jesus is reffered to as the WORD which is God. Before He came into the world He was God. 2. On earth before ressurection: The Bible says the Word was God. When He came into this earth He remove His glory i.e Glory of God and became just a man. He became the Christ nd bears the Name Son of God.He lays down his life which God diety. 3. After Ressurection: This Jesus Christ whom God raised both as Lord and Savious is d voice of the Spirit. After ressurection He reclaim back his Life which is God diety. Having known this the question has been answered unless we will want to be hypocritic. Jesus on earth has giving his life-God diety so that He was man on earth. So when He died he died as a man. So God did not die. |

gatiano: I think you've been too much brainwashed by the Europeans colonialists and their religions. Stockholm syndrome style. Like a slave dog barking defending the home of his masters. Suffice to say we had our own religions much before Jesus was born and much before white people came with their guns and bible. |

Jesus was black. all the holy prophets and messengers were all black. The body and the making of the caucasian body is too weak and wicked to contain such people. Prophets and messenger of GOD are not a robe walking men, They are well educated that involved or involves such high initiation that a person without the throne of GOD (melanin) won't make it. 42 years of studies. you didn't read what i wrote well. gatiano:Even if it were true, Maasai people are black too, it doesn't mean we must follow their culture and religions. I respect Maasai and other peoples culture and spiritual beliefs, but we also have our own set of beliefs too all over Africa and the world (even though they are quite similar in many ways). |

Matthew21:11 and the crowds said this is the prophet jesus from nazareth of galilee. Mark6:3-4 is not this the carpenter the son of mary and brother of james and joses and judas and simon and are not his sisters here with us? And they took offence at him .and jesus said to them A prophet is not without honour except in his own country and among his own kin and in his own house. Luke24:19 and he said to them what things? And they said to him concerning jesus of na*reth who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before god and all the people

The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, has again warned members of the church against celebrating Christmas, saying the annual celebration of Christmas is idolatrous and unscriptural. Kumuyi warned that partaking in the celebration made Christians to go back from the commandment of Jesus Christ. The cleric said this on Saturday at the annual national December convention of the church, which held at the church’s camp ground in Ogun State. He said, “We don’t celebrate Christmas. It actually came from idolatrous background. That is why you don’t hear us sing what they call Christmas carol. Never! We always say it is the December retreat. We are only gathering together because it is the holiday period and love the Lord more, and rededicate ourselves more. “When you find anybody coming in, or any leader, trying to introduce the idolatry of mystery Babylon, that they call Christmas and you want to bring all the Christmas carol saying that is the day that Jesus was born, and you don’t find that in the Acts of the Apostles or in the early church, then you don’t find that in the church either. If you don’t know that before, now you know.” He warned that any of the church’s leaders that tried to introduce the “idolatry of Christmas” into any section of the church would be sanctioned, while also encouraging other believers in Christ to jettison the celebration as part of their sacrifice to perfection. Kumuyi said the duty of the church was to make people more like Jesus Christ and not join in worldly celebrations. “We are not trying to make the church turn like the world. We want it to be like Jesus Christ, and more like the Apostles. If you don’t have that mind with us, then you have permission to go to other places,” he added. But the Director of Social Communications, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos, Monsignor Gabriel Osu, in his reaction to Kumuyi’s proclamation, said, “I don’t know what he means by saying the practice of celebrating Christmas is wrong. “Is he saying that Christ wasn’t born? That he didn’t come to die for us? Does he not celebrate his own birthday? Do Kumuyi’s pastors not celebrate him? It is not everything I react to; some people just seek attention. If Kumuyi is a Christian, then he must believe in Christ. “The celebration of Christmas didn’t just start today; it is too public an event for anyone to say that they don’t know what it is about. “If Kumuyi is condemning the commercialisation of Christmas, I can understand that. Christ came to redeem us from our lost state; this was actualised through his coming, his birth; that is why we celebrate Christmas. It is the fulfilment of God’s promise.” “I saw him on the television a few days ago. He was in Akwa Ibom State and was the chief preacher during their Christmas celebration event. Kumuyi is just saying what he feels; he is not making any doctrinal statement.” The spokesperson for the Christian Association of Nigeria, Oshodi chapter, Lagos State, Pastor Barnabas Otoibhi, said that Christmas was worth celebrating. Otoibhi told one our correspondents in a telephone interview that the origin of Christmas was not as important as its essence. He said, “The origin of Christmas, as we know it, could be traced to Roman Emperor, Constantine. Christmas was a day for celebrating the Sun God. However, because Constantine was a Christian, the day was changed to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. “The tradition has continued to date and since the aim of Christmas is to celebrate Jesus since there is nothing bad in honouring Jesus. Also, the worship of the Sun God was done in Rome and not everywhere in the world, so it is not part of our history. “We mark Christmas with the singing of songs as a day, which has now been consecrated.”

Jehovah is God. Jesus is God. Adeniyi is a god. "God" is like surname for all those associated with Jehovah God or His children. Seun is Osewa, Seyi(seun's son) is also Osewa. Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. All children of God have "God" as their adoptive surname. Jesus calls Him "father" CC MzNelly, OLAADEGBU , ichuka, malvisguy212 |

AdeniyiA:man was created in the image of God this mean we possessed a Godly nature, observ the wording in the psalmist: Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. The phrase "I have said" indicate they did not believe, they are son of God's David had to assured them of this. Until man really know who they are , they will never know."I have said, ye are gods" even adam was called the son of God. Jesus is the ONLY begotten son of God meaning "pertaining to being the only one of its kind within a specific relationship with God the father ." God did not die , its was Jesus who die and ressurecte. God is a spirit, spirit do not die , it was the flesh God possessed in john chapter one, die and ressurect . |

malvisguy212: Psalm 86 gives no basis nor any relation to Christ being "Son of God" nor does it states that we individuals are gods, infact the passage is a warning and rebuke to d kings of Israel as they are viewed as ruling on the throne of God...a careful reading of the passage suggests this.... 1 God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: 2 "How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. 4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked." 5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. 6 I said, "You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; 7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince."[t] 8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations! .................................................................. The passage doesn't mean we have a god nature as well Its just judgement against the kings of Israel that hv dealt unjustly |
