Hi everyone! Can someone please tell what's the average time ECA takes? Still running after universities to send transcript. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Nobody: 9:29pm On Jul 16, 2015 |
bubsykay: it depends on some factors like: how soon your school responds to their verification mail, and the mail service used. MINE took about 3 months from start to finish because of some delays I caused. why not just evaluate your highest credential, that was i did o. multiple evaluation may be delayed when running aftre universities. i had like 3 or 4 certs, i only evaluated the highest. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by bubsykay: 10:25pm On Jul 16, 2015 |
Shyee: Thanks bro! I never knew I can evaluate just the highest level of credential alone, Do you think I can still withdraw the Bsc and do just masters after paying the ECA fee and they are waiting for the transcript already. |

Hello everyone, Its a month today since I arrived Canada and would like to share my observation/experience so far.Canada is a very nice country with friendly people.I'm based in Edmonton;for those of u whose destination is Edmonton, the first and smartest possible tip of getting a survival job on arrival is obtaining a first aid certificate as soon as u get here. Its a 2days course and I did that just 3days after arriving Canada and got a job 2 weeks later. Its an asset for most jobs. There are public libraries in the cities. As a beginner if u don't yet have internet connection at home you can always go to the library to browse and apply for jobs.U apply for most jobs online and are called up for an interview if u meet their requirements.U can also walk into some offices and submit your resume. Regarding housing, houses are quite expensive especially looking at it as a new immigrant who just relocated without a job yet but the good news is bills are inclusive in the rents except electricity and its quite easy getting a survival job which u can earn up to to 18$an hour.I got an apartment two weeks after arriving.U can get an apartment between 750-900$ (1 bedroom). Cost of living is very expensive so as soon as u arrive its necessary to learn how to shop wisely. At the start get the basics and with time u will live the kind of life u want after all Canada is a country without limitations and u can pursue your highest dream for as long as u stay focus and are smart enough to follow ur dreams. There is no discrimination,it may exist but its minimal and u r hired as long as u qualify for a job. In fact, for everyone still in the waiting process, I wish u all the best, patience is the key and u will definitely get your hearts desire soonest. For those of u who will be coming to Edmonton, should u need any advice u can always pm me and I'll gladly help. Best of luck to FSW APPLICANTS AND THOSE IN THE EXPRESS ENTRY POOL. Good day 17 Likes 2 Shares |

Phemmie72: Change the details of one of the qualifying factors to a value that lesser, it will make the profile ineligible and you can re-apply whenever you want. You may change the amount in your proof of funds to something lesser than is required, that should do it. 1 Like |
