Sequel to the News that the Biafran radio operator/ Engineer had been arrested, many Igbos went to war on social media condemning the violation of his human rights and insisting of a breech in Law. Let the truth be said, the law is an illusion which can be adapted to suit predominant interest in the human society. Consequently, the law applied in a State of Emergency is different from the law applied where National Security is threatened and Normal laws suited for normal situations. Even the USA has in the name of lawlessly extraditing identified targets end up abducting full grown adults to Guantanamo bay prisons in Cuba irrespective of their fundamental human rights. The Igbo race can best anyone in commerce and are egalitarian in nature. This implies that an average Igbo man is highly individualistic in line with the tenets of Mercantile Capitalism. Furthermore, their egalitarian nature negates every attempt to accept foisted hierarchical autocratic leadership structure. The few Igbo who do so are the exception to the rule while the majority won't accept it cause it fights against their biology. This is because it requires them to subsume their personal private interest for a greater general public interest! The West and North have been greatly shaped by both the Trans Atlantic/Trans Sahara Slave Trades and indigenous periods of Feudalism before the advent of nascent Capitalism to be autocratic with a ruling aristocracy. Given the premise above, Igbo's can only resort to becoming economically relevant in 9ja as China is to the World. From this stead as party or candidate sponsors they can seek to adjust the levers of power in any polity using their partners, godsons or stooges. They could also resort to grand standing and posing to play the West vs the North to get their piece of the national cake anytime and anyday. Everybody would then require the Igbo support to ascend the political pyramid in 9ja. Resorting to seditious acts bothering on treason may not be the best approach as the Biafran struggle is not enjoying all the southerners support right now. This makes a realizable Biafra a landlocked entity. Would the Biafrans then Lord it over the coastal minorities without resistance, sabotage, subversion and entrenched acrimony? How prepared and ready are the Igbo's to unite, persevere, endure and honorably resist dangled carrots this time around. |

Before Jonathan left, the scarcity of petroleum produce brought huge chaos and problems to the country, and now that Buhari wants to do something crazy, I foresee the Militants destroying the source of the crude produce, may be then Nigerians will know how important the South South is to the failed state called Nigeria. abbaapple: How does this relate to Biafra Why are Yorubas the most troubled about Biafra From Obasanjo saying that SE/SS will suffer because of GEJ presidency to Abike Dabiri talking of Radio Biafra to online Yorubas threatening that Igbos will not rule TRUTH HAS A WAY OF PRICKING THE CONSCIENCE WHEN ONE'S CONSCIENCE IS PRICKED, HE NEEDS TO RE-EXAMINE HIMSELF TO KNOW IF IT IS THE VOICE OF TRUTH OR FALSEHOOD SPEAKING IF HIS CONSCIENCE IS AT PEACE AFTER HIS RE-EXAMINATION, THEN LET GOD BE HIS WITNESS 1 Like |

ibisko04:You do not understand the Nigerian politics. From the start of civilian rule, who among the presidents suffered decamping the. more? I swear, to be a minority is a very bad sickness. Just two days ago, a member of bring back our girls, a yoribas lady, told the world that no timeline is set for Buhari. See that? While they were almost killing GEJ. Imagine. From independence, tell me when four governors, all from one region, decamped from one party to the opposition? Just mention one goverhment who have experienced that? |

trueteller:That someone comes from minority tribe does not count anymore once you are installed as the president and commander in chief. What you want to do with the power is now over to you. Former president Jonathan was in power from 2010 to 2015 , the gear lever of this country Nigeria was in his hand to control . So, the notion of his background of coming from minority groups have nothing to do with how he runs his government and his political party to the extent of the party being run aground. |

Sometimes, some Nairalander's comment like fools. It's a fool that doesn't know what buhari is trying to do in Nigeria. His moves are that of a coward. Gone are the days when Nigerian's are fools and illiterates. Let buhari to fulfill his promises by ensuring that there is tight security, good governance and the promise of making 1 dollar 1 naira. Shame on buhari and shame on the people making provocative comments against Goodluck Jonathan |
