My wife who gave birth in October last year, now exactly 9 months has not seen her period yet.

She is just 23 years of age.

Is that normal or there is problem?

sir i have a friend with similar case...she did c.s and she got infection from it and since she gave birth she have not seen her period. pls if u get the solution be kind to share

This is usually caused by the raging hormones in post partum women. Prolactin is a hormone that is associated with breast-milk and it gives women that breast-feed their babies about 6 months free period called lactational amenorrhea. The body is trying to return to normal after the child birth. Give it time..its completely normal.
You can go and see a doctor too to clear all doubts. All the best!

On, there is nothing to fear as far as you are sure she has no infection. Some women will not see their period till they stop breastfeeding. Cos breastfeeding is a former of family planning for some people

Personally I didn't see mine for 20 months after having my baby so It can be normal.No need to fret but she can ask her doc just to be assured

His wife isn't your wife, so the causes may differ. Anyway, OP see your Doc and confirm.

Perfectly normal if she's breastfeeding, i experienced same 2×but mine was 7&5 months, which is same time period i was actively bosom feeding...

Don't stress, when she weans baby, give the body a month or two to adjust before worrying.. all the best.
