@Cindino20 i agree with your view but will like to point out some things; Most times public insurance does not cover everything too. A friend using T.K (public) also visited an Hospital just two days ago because of catarrh, his bills was 47euros and to his surprise he was asked to pay 7euros because he was given a 7euros drug that the insurance does not cover. Another thing is private don't refund partly, they refund fully up to a certain threshold (will confirm the threshold), a friend using Mawista (private) doctor/hospital bill has never passed 200euros and he gets full refund at the end of the month and also there is no stress in emailing your bills to the insurance, you just mail and they refund automatically at the end of the month (atleast for Mawista). Public or Private, it depends on how you experience it and the choice is yours to make people 2 Likes |

Cindino20: Fantastic piece. I think i now get the gist better now. Meanwhile, i suppose its ok for me to go with Mawista for my first three months here. then i can switch to the public insurance after then for my Phd programme. Is that fine? |

Insurance does not cover drug here even 1 euro drug you must buy it. Insurance only covers services e. doctor consultation or surgery etc. |

Obiwannn: ********'I intend to stay no longer than twelve months in the federal territory and apply for a visa that covers the whole duration of my stay '******* [s] THE EMBASSY WILL GIVE 3 MONTHS VISA TO ENTER GERMANY . WHEN NOW IN GERMANY,THEY WILL GIVE YOU ONE OR TWO YEARS RESIDENCE PERMIT WHEN ONE APPLIES AT THE LOCAL AUTHORITY. THE STATEMENT SIMPLY MEANS.. DO YOU WANT TO STAY IN GERMANY WITHIN 12 MONTHS DURING WHICH YOU APPLY FOR A RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR YOUR STUDY. THE ANSWER IS YES. BECAUSE WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU SHOULD HAVE APPLIED. SO IT SHOULD BE TICKED. MY OWN OPINION. [/s] MY OPINION IS NOT CORRECT. I'M NOT VERY CERTAIN SO I CANCELLED IT. TILL THE LIGHT ON THIS IS FULLY SHONE. New light.. I read an opinion in a forum that it's intended for study or stay less than a year. So it should not be ticked. 1 Like 1 Share |

FOR the person asking how much for a child, this is my cousin communication with the Embassy. This will help many people Dear Madam, thank you for your inquiry. The lump rate for a child of the age of under 6 years is 235 EUR per month, so for the first year of your stay this would make 2820 EUR. However, please note that the Consulate does not make the final decision on the funding of the stay but this decision is usually made by the Aliens Authority (Ausländerbehörde) of the city where you intend to live. Therefore, I would highly recommend you to get in touch with the Aliens Authority in order to double-check. Thank you for your understanding. Sincerely yours, Visa Section (Wo) Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Lagos 15, Walter Carrington Crescent Victoria Island, Lagos Federal Republic of Nigeria Tel.: +234-1-280 99 66 Fax: +49 30 1817 67232 Von: Patience Esekaigbe [mailto:@yahoo.com] Gesendet: Mittwoch, 1.
