@jlo4ever, don't make the mistake of putting your total savings amount as monthly income drone investments. They are asking of how much interest accrues to you on a monthly basis from your savings. They want to be able to analyze your bank statement appropriately.

As for treasury bills, put the difference between the face value and value at maturity divided by the number of months you held it. Then explain in the additional info that it is a treasury bill and you will receive it at maturity. Include your treasury bill certificate. Remember that the treasury bill will not be part of amount available to you for your trip except if it will have matured before the trip.

Hello Justwise, I bring you greetings from the city of Liverpool. I returned to Nigeria yesterday after spending 6 days as stated in my visa application. Many thanks for your guide during the visa application.

I intend retuning to UK next month to relax and enjoy one month rest because the six days spent was just full of activities from morning till evening attending conference. Hope I could just buy my ticket and go with any other paper work or document incase I am asked at the point of entry why returning to UK? Please Advise.

What type of visa did you apply for and assuming it has a 6 month validity period?

So long has your visa is within its entry validation period, clearance would be granted.
NB: Don't travel with a week validation left, and hoping to spend a fortnight!!!
If the UKBA officer questions you on entry, be honest and sincere. (don't say you are hoping to overstay your visa, if that's a honest opinion). grin

Pretty much....but avoid taking things like CV or certificates...anything that will suggest that you are coming to the UK for anything else other than holiday.

Many thanks. I will get my ticket then. I have a very promising job here. It won't be bad holding my leave approval letter.

Good day house.

Please I have an issue I will like someone to advice me on. I wish to attend my younger brother's convocation in September. I want to use my salary acct but I don't get a fixed amount as monthly salary simply because I usually have some casual staffs' salaries added to mine and paid into my account and I have to pay them by hand monthly. For the past 6months, my salary shows between 400k and 700k. But I have my monthly payslips which do not tally with the deposits in my salary account. Please how do I convince the visa officer about this? Also there are some deposits of lump sums( 800k and 600k) in my account. These were given to me by my boss to carry out renovation works in the hospital because I am the administrative manager in charge of all administrative and financial duties. Please I will appreciate suggestions on how to go about this.

Thanks

Why is your salary not the same monthly? Do you mean you earn 400k some months and 700k the other month?

Thanks justwise for your response. My monthly salary is 262k but what reflects in my salary account monthly is always higher than that because some casual staffs' (I.T students, cleaners, washers etc) monthly payments are added to my salary so I can withdraw cash and pay them by hand.

@justwise, its the current UK visitor's application form. The current UK form. Thanz

Also, I was denied UK visa in 2013 .reason is that I didnt support what I claimed I was earning with documentary evidence n that the hotel bookings r somehow, I guess not realistic-8 different hotel to spend 10days (choi, I just read it again today n was like, what was I thinking Lolll) now, am filing another form for visitor- I want to explain myself. 1. As at that time we were being paid by hand but now we have accounts 2. Tge

@ justwise thanks for ur insite.
I have a corporate acc wit 143m turnover in cheesy 6mnths. I have a balance of 15m. I intend travelling with my wife a corper, and daughter. I'm applying for 2 yrs as my 6mnths just expired.
My wife's nysc's account still has her family name on it as the change has not been effected by the branch yet. Should we attach it like that? Or can mine cover for her?? She's also a signatory to our corporate acc. Does that give her a covering??

Instant refusal.

Use your personal account to apply for a family trip and not a corporate/business account.

Hello Justwise, newcomer here, pls help me out. Pls, my mum and my sis who is over 20yrs and a masters student will be applying for UK visas. My mum is a frequent flyer to UK n her 5yr visa just expired so she's renewing while my sis has never had a UK visa even though she was refused few yrs ago. They would be using my mum's statement of account and also an invitation letter that has both dre names.

1.Is it possible they put their application together like a family application? Bear in mind that my mum ll be applying for 2 yrs and my sister 6months. Can they just print out a copy of the statement?

2.My mum is a business woman and she got all her previous visas together with my dad who is now late(died early this year). My dad(he was a biz man too)used to serve as the sponsor for them both then and they use his property docs as supporting docs. Hope she can still use the docs for her n my sister's application now?
3. My bro in the UK would be having a surgery and the hospital has given him an invitation letter for my mum n sis. He therefore transferred funds into my mum's account to show he will be responsible for dre travelling expenses. My sis will also print her personal account to show her monthly allowances. Do u think we are on track as regards this application?
Please help out. God bless you

Pls oh @justwisew and vicjustice and all..pls answer my questions.

1. What year did the New form come to effect? I mean the New visa we fill online.

2. I am travelling from France to visit UK for just 4 days. In the application form where they ask 'how much is for your expenses? How much is flight ticket, train etce since my first place is France and then fly to London much later, do I calculate my flight ticket from just France to London or Lagos to London? Pls am waiting ohh. Thanks.

3. My Husband is my sponsor. He has about 2.7m closing balance. He wants to state that he spends about 500pounds which is abt 125k per month. Its just 2 of us for now. Pls is it reasonable enough?

Thanks thanks in advance.
