Please guys, i want ask more about the insurance thing.

Is one to pay the insurance fee for the whole duration of stay or monthly? I mean can it be paid monthly or for the whole three months of stay (like in my case)?
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 2 by peruziii: 10:31pm On Jul 19, 2015
bros am going to bonn rhine sieg and the school sent me a private insurance company link but will find out from the school to find out about what you saying.
Cindino20:

My advise to everyone includin Takeastep...quitely go for public Insurance baba...if u re under 30 u will contribute abt 81.50euros a mth...the advantages re far more than private insurance...

Disadvantages of Private Insurance...

1.if you visit the hospital..u get to pay ur bill fitst and then get partial refund from ur insurance coy...very tricky and the health care cost is high..a friend of mine once vsiited a Dr. And complained of abdominal pains only for the doc to just examine him, gave him pain relievers and then referred him to the general hospital again nothin was diagnosed and he was asked to take same drugs he received from the former doc....and my friend recieved abt 120euros for the first doc( Dr.Pain .....) and abt 140 for the second one...He had to pay and then file a claim with his insurance company..save urself this headache...yes pple will argue that Nigerians don't fall ill yes I agree I barely visit the clinic ( except when I ve "wicklo" caused by bittin my nails out of boredom or being tensed..u wont believe..I had to do an Xray and a minor sugery for that , If I was usin a private Insurance coy I would ve been done with financially cos I did same minor surgery twice within 6mths.. ) ....to be on the safer side just go with the govt insurance .

2. Some employers will not employ u with private insurance ( e.g Amazon)..they will ask u to get a new insurance contract before u get the job and they will pay for it...

3.In some uni...e.g Bochum and Bonn Rhein seig or so ...they prefer and encourage student to use govt insurance ...Aok..Tk..etc.

4.Dependin on ur job contract..at times u can file for payment of sick leave from Ur Krankenkasse (health Insurance coy) ..well I really dont know hw this works and if its applicable to students...I guess it will be after 6weeks of sick leave the krankenkasse will step in and pay for sick leave..( Prolong illness)..well I dont wish this for anyone..but again we live in a world when nothing is certain.

Disadvantage of Govt Insurance....

Cost...the difference is abt 40 euros a mth....

Think and choose wisely

All the best pple.

Modified...Emirates airline use to ve cheap flights then...U can also check Airmaroc or use opodo.com to check for cheap flights......

[s] THE EMBASSY WILL GIVE 3 MONTHS VISA TO ENTER GERMANY . WHEN NOW IN GERMANY,THEY WILL GIVE YOU ONE OR TWO YEARS RESIDENCE PERMIT WHEN ONE APPLIES AT THE LOCAL AUTHORITY.

THE STATEMENT SIMPLY MEANS.. DO YOU WANT TO STAY IN GERMANY WITHIN 12 MONTHS DURING WHICH YOU APPLY FOR A RESIDENCE PERMIT FOR YOUR STUDY. THE ANSWER IS YES.

BECAUSE WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU SHOULD HAVE APPLIED. SO IT SHOULD BE TICKED.

MY OWN OPINION. [/s] MY OPINION IS NOT CORRECT. I'M NOT VERY CERTAIN SO I CANCELLED IT. TILL THE LIGHT ON THIS IS FULLY SHONE.

New light.. I read an opinion in a forum that it's intended for study or stay less than a year. So it should not be ticked.

if you intend to stay more than a year do not tick it.

you can pay for the first month through cash then subsequent months would be deducted directly from your account.

Landau in Rhineland pfalz nd BTU Cottbus in Brandenburg.
Just two weeks ago, i had a conversation with a friend studying Msc Environmental Sciences in Landau, and here is her sad submission as she moaned into my attentive ears, "See, this is a place for retirees who are awaiting heaven as they look for a quiet place to rest in their dying days. This place is very small, and jobs are hard to come by. If you actually borrow money to come here, then i will encourage you to return the money back and gladly wait for another year or look forward to another school in a better location. I tried arguing that the place is in the west but she bellowed with a sharp and pained retort, "see, I'm a student here and you are not someone i can lie to and as if the place is not bad enough, the Profs here are racist ba*tards, the Africans are all bottom of the class and the German at the top and this is not because they are not bright but even for courses we both fail, the Germans are well upgraded and we left that way. Just tell your friend to stay away from this clime"
Coincidentally, this friend on whose behalf i made this inquiry for got admission in both University of Koblenz-Landau, Environmental Science and BTU Cottbus, Environmental Resource Management, masters. Then from further inquiry, here is what a friend in same course in BTU had to say about the place. "My brother, this place is cool o, not as bad as people portray it, rents are cheaper and Nigerians plenty for this end no be small, but honestly jobs no dey inside this Cottbus but thank God semester tickets dey cover the whole of Brandenburg and Berlin for 6 months. As i dey yarn you self, my job for Berlin na 450 euros, i dey collect, e no plenty but i dey use am manage. I spend up to 2 hours 30 minutes to and fro the work from Cottbus to Berlin but for summer jobs, things are looking up. I got a job in a car manufacturing firm, and the pay is very good on the very north side of 1k monthly, like 1,800 euros. Its not so easy but trust naija na."
Here was his humble conclusion, "My brother, if you have to choose between east or west, brother fly go west o if you get that option, men, I no go lie you, walahi"

I visited the city and the university itself like a month ago, quite lovely and beautiful, its by the baltic sea, borders Wernamude which has an nude beach (lovely? grin)... It is four hours from Berlin by bus. It is not quite big but attract lots of tourist. Most company i saw there are ship building company as it is by the sea (getting a job there shouldn't be a problem).

I spent just 3days there and it was a wonderful experience in all but as they say "visiting a place isn't the same as living there". Others who know about the place or live there can contribute too.

Hello brother, congratulations, I just got admitted to FAU too.
There is a little mix up with my visa interview appointment though. I got two mails within a day interval for two appointment with different dates 11th and 21st of August. I am in a bit of dilemma on which of the dates to honor, but am considering settling for the 21st of August.

no go short-change yourself oh. You better call or mail the embassy to clarify (Although the second mail seems the most updated one).
There is nothing like choosing dates!

thank you for unghosting.
There is nothing as good as acquiring knowledge and giving back to the same pool from whence such such knowledge was acquired.
If you are talking about Summer Semester 2016, then am afraid you don't really have the leisure of time. Arrange those docs ASAP, ensure they meet the certification requirements among other requirements of desired schools and send your applications already using NIPOST. One vital ingredient of securing Admission(sgrin) is early applications.
Best of luck.
