A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and an aspirant in the 2016 governorship election in Edo State, Mr. Matthew Iduoiriyekemwen has insisted that if President Muhammadu Buhari must embark on probing the activities of past regimes in the country, he must not probe former President Goodluck Jonathan alone but extend it to 1999. President Muhammadu Buhari President Muhammadu Buhari Iduoiriyekemwen, who spoke with Vanguard on Tuesday, in an interview in Benin said that while he welcomed the decision of the Buhari administration to probe Jonathan, it should not be a way to discredit the former President’s government. “There is nothing wrong in probing. What is wrong in probe is when it becomes witch-hunt. Yes, we are in a democratic regime, if President Muhammadu Buhari wants to probe the activities of past regimes, he should look at what has been happening in this country from 1999. “There has been a lot of maladministration and corruption, there has been a lot of stealing and wasting of government resources and if he wants to probe, he must extend it to 1999 till date,” he said. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/07/buhari-should-extend-probe-to-1999-pdp-chieftain/

Supported. Any attempts to probe only Jonathan's administration would be seen as witch-hunting of the minority SS ex President. If Buhari is strong enough and sincere, he should probe from when we returned to democracy that is from 1999. We know billions of dollars cannot be accounted for supposedly spent to enhance power supply in this country under Obasanjo. I would have even said he should probe IBB for the money realised during the gulf war popularly referred to as the oil windfall but since that was a military era, he might let it go but he should thoroughly probe past administrations under this democratic dispensation starting from 1999. He should build like 100 additional prisons in every state to gather all the criminals since 1999.  1 Like |

Question: What stopped Jonathan from doing that? Answer: He had no balls, he had no clue, and he wanted to loot more than his predecessors because it was "his turn to chop". Conclusion: That is treasonble for a man who campaigned on the platform of transformation and fresh air. He was voted in to clean up the mess of past leaders and change the status quo. Alas! He failed and made things worse. Recommendation: The PDP leaders should either apologise for Dumbo's monumental failures or dissociate themselves from the gentle goat.
