Update:

The twins are four and half months. Will be 5 by August 4.
I introduced gerber oat cereal last week. I first mixed with breast.milk I expressed and tried to give them with spoon. Twin girl enjoys the spoon but twin boy doesn't take the spoon he will cry and spit till I pour into the bottle for him.

When I can't express, I use sma for the mix. One scoop of sma plus 5 scoops of gerber for one baby. (or times 2) They finish 150ml to 200ml at one sitting (sometimes I have to make more). But if its ordinary sma they take just 60ml.

But gerber makes their poop hard so I give them 10ml water (boiled which I store in a 2 litre gallon)
My mil made the brown pap herself and grinded soya bean with it, but they don't like it at allllllll.

They don't have a particular time for eating so I feed on demand.
And we thank God the number of diaper we use had now reduced. ;Do
I dy feel u iya beji,ur twins ar growin, may God continu to provide 4 ur family. My twins girls ar 3month plus,is not easy but it worth it

FexCathy:

Thanks for the response bosslady but basically what adult foods can he take?

BAD

Honey
Adult milk
Golden Morn
Anything with raw eggs in it e.g Ice Cream
Garri (because of the cyanide content and gummy texture)

Good

Stage 2 formula
Beans (peel the skin first)
okro/ewedu with mashed titus fish
Soft semolina
Pureed fruits e.g avocado, banana
Pureed vegies e.g carrots, broccoli
Fresh fruit juice (if you can make it yourself) e.g apple juice
Cereals/meals e.g cornmeal (ogi), rice cereal (I would advise you start with rice cereal first), oatmeal, mixed grain cereals.

4a. Exclusively breastfed babies can be started on water when they are introduced to cereals usually we say 6 months tho 4 -6 months is acceptable in some instances......once they are no longer on breastmilk only, water can be added.
(Gbemisola Boyede, Developmental Paed)

1-2oz per day is just okay

I think 3.5oz is 100ml

So 20z should be about 60ml...

Please is it normal for my 11 days old baby to grunt in her sleep(i've been checking maybe she has cold) and she also stretches alot. Also how can i get her to burp when she falls asleep after feeding cos it seems she never burps even after placing her on the shoulder and rubbing her back.

Personally, I won't give my 7 months prince milo or juice.
Milo is extra sugar and not essential for a 6mth old. Perhaps try something healthier as a sweet alternative, like some pureed strawberries, banana, apple, pear etc, stirred into the formula/breast milk

@fexcathy

Pls avoid sugar or sugary drinks as much as possible. Asides making them develop sweet tooth, it's bad for their fragile gum and teeth.

For the baby not thriving well who feed s on only Cerelac, continue giving the cerelac, probably you can try the Cerelac Millet( nigerian variety) , then give Milk; Lactogen 2( by Nestle) as a drink daily

Thank you all for the responses, was confused about the vaccines, saw 3 on the card I was given at health center, my hospital gives only 2 and a doctor told me 4 is to be given. Will go to the health center to get it.
As for the tips, the last time I fed him, I noticed there was small blood, is it safe to keep giving him cos when he burped, there was small blood that came out from his mouth. Should I just express or keep allowing him to suck

U cn really endure o,wen mine ws lik dt,I stopped bf nd kept pumping for abt 4 days so I applied heat compress nd shea butter till it heald up nd continued breast feedin.dt thing cn pain abeg

GUDMORNI MAMAS IN D HOUSE@MYTESTIMONY HW IS MY ANGEL.PLS MAMAS I VE A BABY OF THREE MONTHS PLUS ND AM YET TO START MENSTRATING,IS IT NORMAL

Return of menses following delivery is varied between individuals. Some women would see theirs a few weeks after, some others after a few months or even a year, while in others there is no return of menses before another pregnancy begins.

However, the pattern of your menstrual cycle prior to your previous pregnancy (if it was regular or irregular) also plays a role. The duration of your labor and the presence of complications like bleeding after delivery could all play a part in the return of your period. Exclusive breastfeeding and presence of underlying infection also could delay the return of menses.

I don’t think that there’s anything to worry about for now except if you are really looking forward to another pregnancy soon. If this is the case I would advise you see your doctor for a proper evaluation, otherwise enjoy your period of no bleeds. Dr Ketch
