The only scholarships I know FG award are PRESSID and FG BEA, both of which have been awarded for this year.

Honestly I thought these guys wanted to rush the scholarship this year, the way pressid was rushed, n start this katakata next year. This was expected, Jonathan lost in April, leaving them with over a month to do this thing.

Let's Hope for the best. what is worse is getting scholarship letter n getting stranded here without funds, so maybe it's for the better.

Now that pmb has dissolved the NDDC board: Do we think the new MD of NDDC will use the interview that was held at so called presidential hotel?, Don't we think the new MD will want to conduct a fresh application procedure or if not start a new application for next year or for January entry.. The new nddc member will first work on the website by changing all those names and pictures of the dissolved members.. With this Ex-militant excerpt I support it that the members of nddc board that belong to pdp are all corrupt i will back it up with my stances: I know of someone who is a pilot now that didn't even enrolled for the nddc application but at the final stage he was called for briefing, when this fellow didn't even go online and fill the application form, how come? (2) the last interview in ph was rubbish.. Why did they cut the 10k down to 5k, we that were interview the last day, the 5k was buried I smell a foul play that day.. I left my school to ph with my own tf and they didn't pay me dime pls was not pained by the money I've travelled all the way to OIST, Japan this year Just for Phd interview(unsuccessful outcome) they paid for my flight ticket to-fro even with a comfortable accommodation I'm not saying this to eulogize myself but all things should be done diligently and accordance.. We should stop all this slot issue.. Or insider.. For me Jah baba God is my GOD Father.. We pray all goes well.. NDDC is for all of us...

Bro this write up made a lot of sense. Kudos. The nddc board is more corrupt than GEJ. Too many back door arrangements. I just hope they won't be retained and fresh people employed. Though at first it will be rosy but it's a much better choice for now. I wasn't selected 4 either CBT or oral interview but d scholarship should b given to successful applicants this year n a fresh genuine application next year. It will b suicidal to not give this year.

Nigerian media can be very misleading. How on earth can ex militants be happy about nddc board being dissolved?? This ex militants get their money from the ministry of Niger delta not nddc.why should they be happy when federal government also stopped paying them for their overseas training? Didn't you guys read the news about how Lufthansa terminated their training due to payment issues?? Stop reading that punch online.. Its not a credible source for news

Its obvious that most of us should forget about MSC this September and search for January programs.

The on going delay doesn't mean the scholarship would be cancelled as 2billion out of 400billion isnt too much to stop nddc plan to develop the youth.
Let's be patient and see what happens this October and stop all this pessimistic news about what Buhari would do, after all he doesnt have the right to shut down nddc without going through the Senate.

Worst case scenario is that the nddc budget might be reduced which is not supposed to affect scholarship money

To others it is corruption when they don't get the scholarship.

Hmmm. There is no place for God's will, divine favour, miracle, etc.
If you get the scholarship its because God kept ur life, at least we all agree with that.
If you didn't, at least God didn't take your life, so be happy.
In the eyes of men, ur best just wasn't good enough, in the eyes of God your best is still ahead of you.

I know someone who applied three times within a space of four years before he got the NDDC Scholarship.
I know another person that got it twice (MSc n PhD) in thesame four years.
Both of them are happy in fact they are friends.

In my view, anyone that says there is a backdoor, knows its location n at the very least, must have been tempted to use it.

You right to an extent but the reason they have not concluded on the scholarship was due to lack funds even before buhari dissolved the board. The suspension of the national assembly isn't helping matters as the initial budget was supposed to be re adjusted as it was too low.
I'm not in support of the delay but it would not make any sense if the list was released without approval of funds . it wouldn't be nice to hear that successful candidates were stranded if due process wasnt followed. The only thing clear is that successful candidates may not leave this September as time for visa preparation is getting shorter

If you are awarded the scholarship letter you can still change so try and get the admissions down and in place. UK is messed up with their new immigration rules and stuff for international students. Most schools in US and Canada look at the last Two years of your UG degree and they must be at least 80% average to secure admission. Meaning you need a GPA of at least 4.0 in the last Two years of your UG degree to be sure of getting admission. This is why most Nigerians still opt for UK as admission is much easier to get in the UK than Canada and US.

Most, if not all, US colleges requires application fee; usually $50-$100 range. So you can't just "jump" in . Particularly with the naira to dollar exchange rate sky-rocketing.

Australian universities charge 35000 aud per annum and its 2 years if you want to qualify for post study work visa. One year courses do not qualify you for psw visa.

That one is PGD.. It doesn't qualify you for psw visa unless you get a full time MSC which is usually 2 years. If you have the money Australia would be good if you are keen are psw visa

Not PGD. It's a professional masters program (MEng).

Full Time MEng in Canada and US is 1 year; it's MSc that involves research thats 2 years.
