I really don't understand this style of our financial crime agencies. The two women were "invited" to explain the sources of the huge inflow of funds into their accounts. What the hell does that mean? Whatever explanation they provide is irrelevant. I thought it was the duty of the EFCC to investigate the sources of such "inflows" (by themselves) and establish whether money laundering or other financial crime was committed? Why this lazy approach?

This circus show of inviting XYZ dignitaries and "grilling" them about corruption allegations and then releasing them after plenty media noise makes no sense to me... It's just playing to the gallery. What the EFCC ought to be doing is to work HARD in the background - thoroughly examine the allegations in the petitions, ask for backing documents, scrutinise such documents for loopholes or incriminating stuff, probe the money trail and company papers... etc and ultimately establish the illegality or otherwise of the source of the funds. The suspects do not even have to know about all these until you are sure you have something concrete against them.

If they have anything to explain, it should be in court when they are prosecuted. If you arrest, it should be to prosecute immediately, not to ask foolish questions in the name of "grilling".

Someone needs to tell these incompetent oafs that the criminal investigation component of Law Enforcement is not a tea party or talk show. They need to WORK and deservedly eart their sanlaries.

It is obvious that you guys still think you're dealing with otuoke champion (aka president no idea).
Wake up guys, this is not a business as usual scenerio. The game has changed, we have elected a true leader that thinks with his head.

buhari's strategy to get Nigeria back on track has been in place for the past 2 years. He knows our enemies, he knows the thieves and what they have stolen. And he will bring them down one by one...Mark my word.

Nigerians must make use of their common sense by not only giving our president a chance to get his job done, but by also giving him our complete support. This is the only way we will witness great things in Nigeria once again.
We must not forget that he has been in-charge for only 2 months. We just simply have to be sensible and be patient. He has all it takes to get the country back on track.

Anyone that attempts to judge president buhari's performance in less than a year is a complete bl00dy f00l.

It is possible for her to go down if found guilty. That does not necessarily mean any other suspect will fall.

Police/EFCC/ICPC/DSS are currently legally empowered to investigate allegations and petitions. They also have the mandate to prosecute suspects.

Amaechi governed Rivers state while Saraki governed Kwara state. The Rivers people and the new Rivers Government are in the best stead to submit petitions of possible impropriety against Amaechi's tenure in office.

I agree with you. They have not successfully satisfactorily prosecuted any suspect of notes. Their approaches are noisy, unscientific and result-disoriented.

He might actually be much better than them. Many Nigerians have skills and training in criminal investigation and many have excelled within and outside the country. The success of any investigation is measured by the following:

• Ability of the investigators to keep investigation as discreet as possible until court hearings
• Ability of the investigators to expeditiously, collate, arrange ,verify and prepare all evidences for suspect prosecution
• Ability of the investigators to protect identities of all their sources of information
• Ultimately the ability the investigator to make the suspect go numb before the Judge when evidences are being presented.

The trend so far has been investigators making allegations on pages of newspaper, arresting suspects and releasing them in dramatic way. Waste of time, energy and resources yet no results.

Olympians work hard silently for medals, investigators should learn how to work silently to bring back all our loots - All of them!
