Hi, I am just kind of confused on which province to apply to for EE, is it advisable to choose all? Your usual candid advise will be appreciated. Thanks |

zandora: Up next should be Meds(that's if you haven't already done it), if not your PR, but I doubt you'll have to wait till October. I predict this month or next. *winks* |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by zandora: 10:01pm On Jul 22, 2015 |
mozo: EE is different from the old FSW as you now have to do your Meds before you submit your application. My Meds was set to passed May 15. Thanks for that, I hope this month too |

Is their any advantage in getting both my bsc and MSc certificates assessed by WES? Please I will like the advantage explained in terms of exact difference in points .e.g what is the points for bsc alone ,msc alone and bsc+ msc. Thanks |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by chebyshev(m): 12:25am On Jul 23, 2015 |
Will the report from WES include the date of birth sent by my school ? Better still someone should describe how the WES evaluation report looks like |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 12:39am On Jul 23, 2015 |
chebyshev: Your highest qualification is what will give you the highest mark for education and certainly, your Msc gets you a lot more marks than Bsc. From what I've seen so far, WES charges same amount if you are evaluating one or evaluating the two so, make your choice. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 12:42am On Jul 23, 2015 |
dolapokay: ITA is issued by the Federal Immigration for Federal immigration programmed while LAA is issued by the government of Manitoba for Manitoba's specific Provincial immigration programme, after which if you are successful, Manitoba will then nominate you to CIC, which is in charge of the Federal programmes. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by JesusDWay(m): 12:44am On Jul 23, 2015 |
Anthonydebo: Well...I usually advice you choose the major provinces, which means you can choose more than one |

[quote author=chebyshev post=36172308] since you requested for exact point difference, i would advise you explore the crs tool and/or check the points grid. you will be surprised at the difference. |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Nobody: 7:41am On Jul 23, 2015 |
[quote author=chebyshev post=36172487] yes, it WES evaluation has your dob included. it appears as it is on your certificate/s that you send for evaluation. check the WES website for pictures and clarity |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by chebyshev(m): 7:55am On Jul 23, 2015 |
@shyee@jesusDway, Thanks for your responses I found them very helpful. I will send my MSc certificate alone to WES for evaluation. |

Bsc gives you 112pts while Msc is 126 points under personal info, Msc can fetch you additional points of 12 to 37 to 62 under skill transfer..and adaptability (this also depends on your ielts score/CLB band). chebyshev: |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Olawunmif: 9:25am On Jul 23, 2015 |
JesusDWay: You can send both. From what ive learnt about some people in other countries, their MSc was equivalent to one year grad study while their BSc was equal to 4 years BSc in canada. They gave reasons for equating MSc to one year grad study due to rigor of study, curriculum, etc in that particular country. So jst send both to be sure and if they recognize it as equal to canadian masters, all well and good. |

Can someone please help calculate the points someone with this status will have? -MSC (Highest qualification) -35years of age -7years plus working experience (before the Msc as he rounded off his MSC last year) -IELTS 7.5 overall (Not yet taken. Just speculating) -No relative or job in Canada -Married with a child. -Without partner's assessment points but with partner's IELTS of 6.5 overall |

Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by SlowlybtSurely: 11:17am On Jul 23, 2015 |
Shyee: Thanks a lot. Did it myself and got about 373(conservative though). Wow! Not even up to 400. Will ITA ever be sent out to applicants with <400 CRS score? What other options can one explore? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by Nobody: 12:01pm On Jul 23, 2015 |
SlowlybtSurely: if you and your spouse can score very high in your ielts, you can have maximum points for transferrability. i think the 'come to canada' tool is also a good place to explore your options. |

Shyee and Olawunmif, Although I did not experience this issue, I copied this advise from Canadavisaforum on what to check if your profile is ineligible: In creating your EE profile, kindly pay close attention to the following: 1. Settlement Province -- any one other than Quebec 2. Work history and Primary NOC -- ensure that you have entered the same NOC in your work history section, showing that you have one or more year experience. Ensure that the hours per week worked Is 30 or more 3. Proof of funds: ensure that you entered 20000 and not 2000 4. IELTS -- ensure you are entering the correct scores and the correct date of your exam for both you and your spouse 5. ECA -- ensure that you entered yes that it was done and that you entered the Certificate number Good luck!!!!! I hope you will find the error very soon. I hope this might help to detect the issue Olawunmif: |

Hi Shyee, Good to know you finally got your TRF. How I wish I could help with this issue, unfortunately I did not experience the issue. I just had about 30mins delay before I got the message to create a profile on Job bank. Maybe, you should try and recreate the profile and see if it will work. Shyee: |

@shyee, pls I need study material for the IELTS exam.@dupyshoo,the Cambridge official guide u recommended is now around £54 pounds instead of £30 u mentioned on amazon.com. That's too high for me to purchase. @dupyshoo,did u evaluate both ur bsc and MSc certificates through WES? |
Re: Canadian Federal Skilled Worker Program-timelines Here by dupyshoo: 1:06pm On Jul 23, 2015 |
Hi Chebyshev, You don't have to buy the book, however I just checked now and it is still about £34. Probably you added postage cost to it. Nevertheless, you can use RoadtoIELTS as it is very good and informative. Also, you can use some websites like IELTS blog, IELTS buddies, youtube etc. Yes, I evaluated both my BSc and MSc certificates because I knew I would have to claim points that I have 2 post secondary studies. Also, I read about how some applications were rejected because they did not provide the ECA for their BSc as they had evaluated only MSc. Though, there might be other reasons for the rejection though. chebyshev: 1 Like |
