The country is the largest producer of diamonds, and that industry helped it become a middle-income country (you know as it is, that this is an achievement in Africa).

The country is one that is almost rid of corruption and that is why the income from the diamond industry reflects in the per capita income, because you didn't/don't have one man or a cabal pocketing it all.

And then you have the nightlife in Gaborone. In trying to tone down the partying lifestyle and drinking habit of citizens, the government of Botswana placed high tax rates on alchohol, and then early closing hours are placed on nightclubs. I guess this is an attempt at curbing the transmission of HIV, as the number of infected Batwana is very high. Finding a way around these tax rates and restrictions though, citizens in Gaborone take the partying to car parks after the night clubs close.

That movie was actually shot in South Africa. You know, I enjoy picking random countries and reading about them and learning the names of their capitals, but then, I don't do it as often as I want. Not even close. And then, I sometimes forget then names of the capitals. As per the games you played, I'm here wishing I had played them too, because it's far easier for a child to learn and retain things like states/Countries and capitals, than it is for an adult...like me. But I refuse to give up, despite the odds. lol
