I got randomly told this many years ago and it has stayed with me throughout my life ... When I am feeling shy I remember these words and it automatically makes me think ah I can do this!!

Cnt 4get the day a babe told me that I look like dbanj..my head nearly busted...



Just yesterday..one useless babe looked me in d eye nd told me that if not that I m fair and tall,i would hve been a ugly bobo... I responded by telling the babe dat she is lookn like bovi..wth her funny big eye ball poopn out always

I've been complimented on my looks since I could remember but there's one that I really hold dear.

I still remember the exact words to this day. I was very young, 12 or maybe 14, I was very timid, easily frightened and hurt, and had no self-esteem.
My mother and I were at the market trying to get food stuffs when a grown up lady came up to my mother and said: "I'm sorry, I don't mean to stare but your daughter is so beautiful."
She then looked at me and said "You're so pretty. You should smile more. I would if I was that pretty."
she smiled and walked back to her mum.

I make it a point now to compliment those that deserve it, especially those that seem shy or timid like I oncewas.

The only tine I've got compliments from ppl is when they want something from me.

Av been told am a genius

but it freaks me out though

My course mate once told me that she admires me and she thinks I'm the strongest person she has ever met(though I don't look it)

Since then, my life's goal is to become as strong and kind as possible so that I can protect the people I care for.

That compliment has helped me a whole lot...it has made me found strength in my weakness.

I have gotten so many compliments from both sexes including old and young but the one that has thrilled me most is the one just said to me a while ago after our vigil.
He said and I quote "Sir, I have known you for about five years now but your humility is beyond what words can describe, Honestly you're a true leader"
At that point I was just lost for words to respond

As a kid, my sunday school teacher always told my parents that I could remember verses of the scripture taught days ago and that I answered the questions so well.
I always came first in class.. all through primary and most of secondary school.

So I was always constantly reminded of how intelligent I was by my parents, friends, siblings and those around me as I grew up

Even In the university, I was called a 'scholar' and this trend of being called smart and intelligent has continued following me.
