Horllamideh: In 2011, Aminu Tambuwal emerged as Speaker of the House of Representatives at the expense of Mulikat Akande-Adeola, the Peoples Democratic Party preferred candidate for the position. While Tambuwal had the support of ACN members, who were bent on working against the PDP's zoning formula, which ceded the post to the South West geo-political zone, Akande-Adeola (from the South-West) was said to be enjoying the backing of the party's leadership though the zone's caucus of the PDP had earlier backed Muraina Ajibola for the position. |

The op wrote a healthy piece. You appear incapable of understanding his lines or apprehending the motif of his post. You came up angry and invective. Take a long breath-in and let it go in a sigh. Dear Detosho, You see how your good piece is being rubbished? Even though I am Igbo and don't believe everything you said up there, it is only rational for me to argue without defamatory words. But some people have started throwing it at you. Nairaland political, sectional sections are where any reasonable person should avoid commenting on (SINCERELY SPEAKING), cos some people will still attack you wrongly and refuse to see or reason out your points even when you are making sense. Seriously, phone and data is now cheap and believe me blood hot teenagers, juveniles, and immature adults are here. Some will come at me but I won't reply them as I'll just read their comments and pass on. 5 Likes |

Yorubas are highly skilled in betraying and most are generally lazy, I live amongst them so I know what I'm saying. Never tell a secret to a yoruba man or woman, igbos are skilled but very dubious that's a fact and hausas are just too violent for my liking. I'm not tribalistic but just saying facts how it is. 9 Likes |

new2020: I know you're trying to make your inferior self feel good but its okay. First of all Yoruba shouldn't even be in the same sentence with igbo if you know about history. it's even a bigger INSULT! that we're being compared with you. you know deep inside you its an insult to the Yoruba nation The same people whose language we wrote its first primer? The same people who were unknown prior to colonialism? The same people we educated by giving free education? The same people who can't breathe without coming to our land? The same people whose land we don't go to? People who were still walking unclad years after we were already clothed? Are these the people you're putting in the same sentence with Yoruba people? Anyways i blame it on the OP who probably has no knowledge of yoruba people and its history Honestly the fact that we live together in the same country is the source of all these garbage. we've descended so low to to the extent that we're now exchanging jibes with "tribes" with no relevant history .Obviously the union has benefited you all more because they say "familiarity breeds contempt". originally this shouldn't even be a discussion if the red idiots never merged us together. For heaven's sake we're talking about a yoruba nation with a deep history, language, culture, arts.civilization, religion, literature, medicine. a nation that has fought wars in comparison with some wandering tribe . A nation that has produced some of the greatest artefacts in the history of the black race. you know deep inside you, you feel really good when you're been compared to the Yoruba nation to you its an honor. because you know ordinarily if not for the red idiots you wouldn't even be a topic today 14 Likes |

Aareonakakanfo: I see you cannot contain your deep-seated hate, resentment and envy towards the Igbos...even American government is aware of it! "Igbos are wandering Jews of West Africa - gifted, aggressive, westernized, and at best, envied and resented, but mostly despised by their neighbors in the Federation---" (a White House Memo on Biafra January 28, 1969 to President Nixon by Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger) (Source : U.S Foreign Relations Documents Volume 5 , 1969) Dr. Thomas Sowell, renowned American philosopher in one of his books recognized four highly gifted peoples across the world: The Jews, Germans, Chinese and Igbos. Give them Biafra and watch them build a civilization never seen before in a black nation. I repeat...Igbos are not in your level! Now get out ! 14 Likes 2 Shares |

kingdom01:Why do u guys keep mentioning dat Awo/Ojukwu issue. U guys should learn to let tins like dat go. Yoruba people let Ziks betrayal of Awo and Ziks alignment with the North, Ziks collabration with North to send Awo to jail, Aguiyi Ironsi's leaving of Awo in prison to rot, and so on go. The GEJ issue was simple, the entire SW felt neglected by his government,as there was no visible development here by him, then the unchecked issues of corruption and his seeming indifference to it. Even before elections, I was in OAU, and I watched Students of all ethnic affiliation carry "GEJ must go" banners, it had to happen, if the SE/SS had presented a better candidate, he migt have had hope, don't forget we voted for GEJ massively in 2011, even at the expense of CAN which controlled our States den, see where that led us, and even Ribadu is nw in PDP. 4 Likes |

new2020:This is a 100yrs truth the ibos compete among themselves only. Guess what ? if the Igbos are poor people among the Yorubas, we wouldnt be hearing some dirty hate speech coming from them. It is a Yoruba fight for envy and jealousy against igbo race. Dont forget Yorubas in their number reside and do business in UK and Canada yet nobody have chest them away. Here is another man's land too. The Yorubas can create their own country if OneNigeria is irritating them. Enough of these childish xenophobia. |

Ritchiee:Every human race, economy, people, country etc. has one or two advantage over others like we seen in United State and the people of Israel. No man is an island. Admit what you dont have and extend hands to people that have them. China has a long histroy of coping into other invention to drive. Yet America a world power still need China somewhere. For the fact, the Igbo remain the most business and greatest industrial mind people in Nigeria aka entrepreneurs. The strength and the presence of their hardworks are visible across Nigeria, in every state and abroad. So it should be easy for other people to discover and work on their natural abilities, then going about picking on other people's potentials. Work more to develop your strength and that area of ur weakness is someone/people strength simple. That my stand, you cannot do your own and do mine too. Go and do what you know best. Am not here to get you any list. 4 Likes |
