I will kill myself on Wednesday if am not able to sort this out. I'm tired of this life even though people around believe all is well with me.

I am a 23 year old undergraduate of University of Ilorin. I am a spill over student due for graduation last year. I had 2 courses for first semester and 5 courses for second semester, including project. I really tried my best this year, so that I can graduate. The trauma, depression, studying with my juniors, O God, after stressing myself reading day and night, preparing hard and settling project issues, just to discover that I failed 2 courses in second semester. I will now splash, not again.

I am pressing some buttons IF the courses can be waved. I discovered that I failed the two on friday after checking my results at the level adviser's office.

How will I inform my parents? I don't have a choice than to just end this if nothing can be done before Wednesday evening.

The pressure is just too much. I am the first born of my parent. They are expecting the good news not the splash news again, not after supporting me for a year.

Hell is real. There are always things to be thankful for. Some people no see money go school. Some people are deranged without the ability to learn. U better reconsider. E never reach to kill urself.

I have being in your shoes before bro. Mehn! Terrible times, just keep trying, what course is it?
Might be hard for you to accept but being a graduate does not even guarantee success in life, that's the thing they dont tell you while in school. Some people who left me behind in school don't even have jobs yet bro, meanwhile 2 months after my service i got a great job. You have to keep rising above your failures. Its when you give up that you truly fail.

Life is marathon bro. Take it cool.


first to graduate doesn't mean first to succeed in life. Surely people will not understand you but try to understand yourself, solve your problems and don't run away from them. Suicide is cowardice.

I did too. Matter of fact, I wrote mine 5 times. From my first year, to my extra year in school. I could not just pass it. It was a maths course. I was spilling, and attending lectures with year one students. I didn't kill myself.
To make matter worse, my girlfriend then was a first class student, in the same faculty.

But that was 3 years ago. I left school in 2012. And I'm doing relatively well for myself now.

Once there is life, there is hope. Calm down. Except death, everything has a solution. Please, when and where do you intend to do that, i.e., the venue and time.

I understand the disappointment and shame! But situations like this when handled properly sets us up for greatness in life. Who knows how this might help u manage any disappointment that may later come in life (which are inevitable). You will say to yourself, if I can handle spill over twice, I can handle this! What you need now is to learn how to pass exams, not just reading!

Visit your HOD and discuss with him. Contemplating suicide only gives you off as a 'coward'.....face the situation like a man,all is well.

Suicide is a social fact according to a philosopher. It gives the society social order and balance. it's necessary for a society to grow because it's always out of control as it allows human to purge themselves out of social problem. You can kill yourself, so that our society will always be at 'equilibrium'..

If u think we cant understand what you are facing then there is no point in bringing it up here. I will read Thursday dailies probably your death will come up there since you arent ready to face the consequence of being alive.

Thanks bro, but you said borrowed courses meaning electives, the two courses are compulsory and are departmental courses.
