safarigirl: Nothing justifies rape, not even insanity 'cause a mad man/woman can recognize and feel physical pain. That opined, women deliberately induce the untoward advances. How many times haven't we heard women say they are dressing to "kill"? How many times haven't your girlfriends said something like , "girl, we gon' "kill" them today" infront of a full-length mirror? How many times haven't you dressed in skimpy clothes for a party because you want to "steal" the show? Need I go on? Don't play the sole victim here, missy. 1 Like |

adexsimply: Now you are getting it twisted. Im not in anyway referring to rape because thats a totally different topic. A rapist will rape a lady in full hijjab. What im implying is that skimpy dresses promotes lustful taughts simple. Someone also made reference to india as the most prevalent in rape cases but i would re emphasize once more that the case of rape and skimpy dress do not correlate. Rape is a crime that is commited by sex perverts but lustfulness cuts accross men in general and that is also a sin and that is the subject of dscussion. a man with lustful spirit will still lust after a lady in full rain coat but when a lady dresses skimpily she will be causing even the pure hearted guys to lust after them. 2 Likes |

Without bein biased, i wil say a few thingz. M a xtian, buh i wunt use biblical reference bcuz alot of us dnt get wat d bible is actuali teachin. . . Wat d OP tried sayin haz 2 aspect, which is d Moral/Law n d Spiritual aspect. D spiritual aspect dealz directly wif God,datz y d ladiez dat dresses indecently n scantily re said 2 b sinnin against God, d same 4 we guyz dat bare chest n wear boxer shortz(m guilty of diz). It is morally wrong bcuz of d society/communal ideaz/standardz about indecent dressin which leadz 2 vicez lyk Rape n co expeciali 2 d ladiez. I read post n commentz of people supportin n detractin frm d OPz idea n point of view. . . .u re all ryt,no1 is wrong bcuz of various direction lotz re viewin it. 4 doz supportin d OP,diz is due 2 how much we hv gained spirituali n hw much we hv learnt frm d society concernin d diz sensitive issuez 4 doz detractin it,it cn b due 2 our viewpoint of d biased nature of our society especially towardz d female sex. . . . We are all ryt. . . . . But as a xtian, dressin modestly is d best way. . . . |

TheSonOfMark: And if this was just a poser to you, without reference to your own post, you would have simply said it was me, the thief. Your reason for saying both now is to divert the heated response that would have followed. Job well done. Your "honest" response has been noted. 5 Likes |

No matter how we try to twist it. Indecent dressing in wrong. Those countering the OP should think and check deep into their heart, they will see they are on the wrong side. All of you countering the OP will never all your sisters, daughters or wife to dress anyhow and go out. This is hypocrisy. Will u allow ir sisters to wear pant and bra and go to the market all in the name of it is her body. Remember dress the way according to the way u want to be address. |

Humblebloke: Get your facts right then you can distort them as you please, how exactly does the bible preach what u stated? When Jesus was born Joseph had to run from pharaoh God could have easily caused pharaoh to like Jesus. This talks about taking responsibility and acting appropriatly with your physical faculties.Don't mmisinterprete the word. Some people's comment in relation to the topic at hand makes me believe that there are indeed different people with views and opinions but wisdom is seriously lacking. |

What God is Primarily interested in is MOTIVE! What is the motive behind the provocative dressing of some ladies? Is it that it is the fashion norm or they just do not care or they wish to be the centre of attention and interest. We sometimes do not know the motive behind the actions of women so are limited with that info. However in order to avoid stuff like that Paul put a clause in 1st Corinthians 8 reading from verse 9. Please Note verse 9: 9 Be careful, however, that the exercise of your rights does not become a stumbling block to the weak. 10 For if someone with a weak conscience sees you, with all your knowledge, eating in an idol’s temple, won’t that person be emboldened to eat what is sacrificed to idols? 11 So this weak brother or sister, for whom Christ died, is destroyed by your knowledge. 12 When you sin against them in this way and wound their weak conscience, you sin against Christ. 13 Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall. We need to be careful and avoid what would lead others who are weak to sin because then the blame would be on the one who caused the other to sin because the sinner is weak but this is to those who have knowledge of what is right yet say "i have a right to dress the way i please" like a poster said but you need to realize that as a believer you have no rights! Your rights are now in Christ because you have been bought with a price and are no longer your own. If you have rights then they must be one with the will of God period! Modesty is the word. The truth is that dressing seductively or half unclad is more provocative when coming from women than it is with men. men are easily drawn to the externals than women are. unclothedness is meant to be appreciated by one person alone and thats a husband or a wife. Anybody who says women can dress the way they are comfortable and men should just look the other way is still in darkness and for men who are still drawn to lust and are believers go and work on your spiritual life and become stronger...Better yet go and get married and ask your wife to dress as provocative as you desire for you behind closed doors and love her alone. God bless you 2 Likes |

johnydon22: This is akin to saying you can drop your wad of money on a centre table of a hall full of people unattended to and not expect it to be stolen. In as much as I don't justify rape under whatsoever guise, women are enjoined to dress properly in such a way that they won't attract and expose themselves to rapists **Thats wisdom** 1 Like |

I know that most times men absolve of their immoral attitude by putting all blames to women, but not withstand, we stil have concience to be able to know wat is good or bad and also sense of sanity to know wat is decent or not. It seems alot of women hav failed to wk wit der concience and have entirely lost their sense of sanity wen it comes to fashion and d way dey dress dis days, both married and single. Indoor wears r now made for church and other places. Satan is realy usin women throu their indecency to pull down men nowadays, both old and young, even some ministers of God. That we shld use our will power, does not mean that women shld expose their body that r made to be covered to men to behold. God did made a mistake by coverin Adam and Eve, women shld equally go naked entirely so we will know that nothin remain. U shld be a vessel of honour unto God and men. Change ur mentality, and dress decently for once, althou not all women. 1 Like |

TheSonOfMark:define a sex object. And please for your information, am not really trying to contest against this particular thread. My take in this is why is it always women. Why us? I can count like five threads since last week that has been centered on women. What is it with you sexists that you cannot leave us alone? You can choose to be a gay if you are not comfortable with our way of behaviour. Let us be respected too. Let us be in charge of our lives too. Are we asking for too much? For christ sake we are not slaves. 1 Like |

naijadeyhia:Ode. Close mindedness is a very deadly disease, the religion you carry on your head which is against homosexuality, was handed down to you by the same people you claim is responsible for all the wrong in the world, yet you won't see that. Whatever the story with homosexuals, was a fault of your God, deal with it. 6 Likes |
