What is dis mumu saying
You surely have a badly-concocted brain if you cannot see through the light linen of transparency that the president is taking gigantic steps to curb excesses of ministers; excesses that we witnessed under gej and no one was able to stem the mismanagement and corruption. I won't blame people like you. I repeat, you will only continue to wail and wail while this administration sees through its tenure. Deal with it. Stop hating. Stop being a wailing wailer.
Please my brother don't mind them. There are way too many fools on this forum, particularly this politics section. The same I.diots were saying Jonathan is a good man but it's those that surrounded him that are bad. How won't they be bad when you give them so much power to do whatever the like and award inflated contracts indiscriminately, collecting kickbacks here and there. Here we have someone that wants a more accountable system by stemming this tide of corruption but we have useless people opposing him. Majority of them never want this country to move forward. They were comfortable with the sorry state of affairs under GEJ.

We honestly cannot say if this is a better move until we have the details on how contracts are going to be awarded without the ministers' approvals.

I think we have enough agencies supervising contracts agreements and executions. IMO, these agencies should just be empowered to do their job well.

But let's get the details of the new arrangement 1st.

You are more than silly. I am better educated, more cerebral, and wiser than 20 Buharis put together. I am only here to help champion the cause of the WAILING WAILERS. If we do not shout, this idi0t that calls himself President will mess up the country. We owe ourselves the responsibility of stopping this mess by a secondary school drop out with the accent of a desert nomad. Now we have permanent queues at the filling stations. Boko Haram kills per second. And one id0t wasted an opportunity we had to bring Foreign Direct Investment by showcasing Oshomole's imported trophy, Amaechi's Harry Potter dressing. Rochas with stomach of a frog and a useless towel on his neck. Yet the billionaire Employers of labour were not invited. No Economic team. No policy directions. No Ministers. Buhari is the most useless human being ever created by nature.

Lol, democracy and governance in Nigeria being reduced to a ridiculous level.

Absolute dictatorship, Idi Amin style.

Little wonder Buhari has not taken ministers.

Little wonder Buhari wants his party to "select" the principal officers of the legislature.

Ahoy, Nigeria under dictatorship of old Buhari !!

This man obviously thinks he can run the country all by himself just as he runs his cow farm. I wish him and everybody who voted for his change well. But with the little I have seen so far this man will likely set Nigeria 20years backward before the end of his tenure. Once a dictator always a dictator.

Think with your head, not with your anus. Every Democracy in this planet have Ministers. The pedigree and credentials of your Ministers is what sends a signal to the world about your policy statement and forecasting. No one will do business with you as a country because you are using career civil servants and head of ministries. Buhari has NEVER worked with people. He was a military dictator, now as a converted democrat, it is alien to his nature to work with people, so he becomes Democratic Dictator. Even when he appoints Ministers he will muscle them to be like servants to him.

How can a secondary school drop out ever think he can gain Foreign Direct Investment with his common-sense approach to macro-economic dynamics ?

Buhari is a popular mor0n for running the country on autopilot, we do not know our direction.

Now let's see if your own head dey function properly, else maybe u dey use worse than ur anus.
He announced he was vetting the old cargoes many fools like you expected him to appoint.
Many of them are failing at alarming rates, yet you just want any mannequin to occupy that
post called Minister, Why? Pls explain why Nigerian should just appoint for the sake of appointing.

Use ur head well. Nigeria has been perpetually among the most corrupt nations in the world,
[size=15pt]If you do the same thing the same way and expect a different result THEN YOU MUST BE RAVING

I am never affiliated with any party or group but a party for change and insightful reasoning. if all you
think about is just your *stolen mandate (@last administration)*, sorry -you can never grow up.
Try and weigh every situation (without allowing people to think for you) b4 whining or crying like a baby.
Try to have your own thoughts, not joining multitudes to castigate.

As part of the ongoing reform of several strata of the Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that ministers won’t be having the luxury of awarding contracts or getting corrupt in how contracts are awarded.

Speaking with journalists in Washington DC during his four-day visit to the United States, Buhari said ministers would no longer have power to award contracts.

In his words, ‘I have already acted to remove political control over awarding of contracts away from ministers, who use them to get political favours and kickbacks,’

In furtherance, the president disclosed that the introduction of a new system of plea bargaining to encourage looters of the government money and oil thieves to return the people’s stolen commonwealth. »

‘I will introduce a new system of plea bargain, that will allow those who have stolen assets and funds to return them – but if they do not take that opportunity we will pursue them through the courts.’

Noting that corruption is one of the top issues facing Nigeria, Buhari disclosed further that his government is taking several steps to end the menace.

‘Corruption is one of the top three issues facing Nigeria, along with insecurity and unemployment. We must act to kill corruption or corruption will kill Nigeria. I am determined to lead that fight.

‘My government is already taking several steps to cut out the cancer of corruption that has been eating away at the state for so long.

‘We are reorganizing the existing plethora of anti-corruption bodies into single powerful agency that will have the focus, power and budget to clamp down on corruption at the federal and state levels,’ the president told journalists.

"We must act to kill corruption or corruption will kill Nigeria. I am determined to lead that fight..." Now, this is how a real exemplary President talks, and not like his fumbling clumsy incompetent predecessor who said, "Stealing is not corruption" - a certifiable a-list joker who relentlessly made his presidency a joke.
