@iRyan
Are you sure you understood his question? I think there is no old one here. Seems payment was made and an appointment booked without completing a DS 160 application. I guess he will just go ahead and submit his DS 160 application and call "the appointment people" grin to help him rectify the issue by matching the confirmation code on the DS 160 to his appointment confirmation code. lipsrsealed
if he booked an appointment it means he started an application already. that's why I said he should go retrieve the application he's already started. if he starts a new application, he will get a different confirmation no from the one on his appointment page

I had a visa interview scheduled for 5th of August, but I recently received a mail that the interview date has been moved to 25th of August. The problem is, the conference I plan attending is from 19th - 21st August, being that I can't go back to my application. Can I apply for another conference that would hold later in the year? Even if this is done, details of the new conference won't appear on my application. I hope this won't affect my chances? Cos the whole rescheduling has disrupted my plans.

Sorry about that. You have come to thr right place. However, in this forum we teach u to fish, not dash u the fish so we don't become agents ourselves.
1. Go to the US website. The steps are set out. Pay. Fill form. Book aPpointment.
Ater perusing the form you can ask a specific question.
2. Go back to from page 50 and read. You will see problems, solutions and 'don't dos'
3. For the transcripts you have been asking for, click on their names and see if they posted.
Sorry if this didn't answer your question but hard work pays.
It might benefit you to share your own transcript

SAY NO TO AGENT Please leave agent and do it yourself, There was a time I consider using an agent but due to advise from that Lady G and others. If you want US Visa, First of all what do you do for a living, Travel history, Marital status and how honest you are, Sometimes the VO will not even ask for any document as in my case the VO did not ask any document, just few questions and your visa is approved,

Fill the DS-160 form, follow the instructions, book for your interview, pray and go there, but you will have a great chance if you have a travel history and to my own opinion, better apply with your wife and Kids if you have any but if you dont then pray and go there. Dont be scared.

Why do you want to travel if you don't have the means?

Pls i will like someone to quickly help me out on this. Thanks so much in advance

Sorry, I'm just getting to reply. I don't know if you've gotten a reply or a way out, but I had to pay another visa fee and I was lucky to get same date as the former, for the interview.
All the best!

Everything in life is all about trial, US visa is no visa to Heaven, and US Visa is not a do or die affair, If you can afford the appointment fee and your transportation to the Embassy, Then I'll advise you to fill the DS160 form, book the appointment then honestly answer all the questions cos what you fill in your form is what you will be asked. Be bold and honest. Try first but make sure you print out your statement but i dont think the VO will have such time to go through your documents, but for asking sake, print your statement and pray, go there. I wish you success

Which advise again? If they have changed the date, then check your appointment confirmation, the change must have reflected there.

This is a new development. initially what they do is to 'apologise' and advice you to reschedule your appointment. I've never heard of America Embassy rescheduling for applicants.

Working with a visa category which stipulates visit, medicals etc other than employment, is a ground for arrest and deportation if discovered by security operatives. The culprit should also kiss a future visit to the States, a goodbye.

Except you get married and have kids who may eventually file for you, an immigrant visa back to the U.S. at a future date when they come of age. This is still subject to an over-riding immigration rule.

What if u get married to a citizen before the expiration of your visit?

It is possible to get married to a U.S. citizen before an expiration of your visit but in such a situation, USCIS has high suspicions of a sham marriage (a marriage solely to get a GC) , so as an applicant you must be very careful.

You should wait about 60 days to get married after entering on your B1/B2 visa and you should avoid showing that you had a preconceived intent to get married before you entered the U.S. on a visitor visa.

How you prove that fact, is solely your responsibility.

You are not allowed to work on a B1/B2 (tourist) visa. Period.

If you perform a task and receive money for it, you have violated the terms of that visa under US law.

The only exception is if you are a prizefighter and the money you win is prize money.
