I met my man in one of my friends’ party we got attracted to each other and started a relationship. He told me from the onset that his intention is marry me as he is not interested in any “fling” relationship. I was so happy that I have finally met my dream husband. But three years into the marriage we are yet to be blessed with the fruit of the womb and I know I’m the cause of his childlessness considering the wayward life I lived during my university days. I will be as brief as I can; it all started when one of my friends, introduced me to one of her men friend, and we started dating. He showered me with gifts and cash. Along the line I got pregnant for him and he told me frankly that I must abort the pregnancy which I rejected but after much pressure from him and my friend I agreed to their wish. As if that was the licence key, I took my prostitution to another level, I dated different men, got pregnant, aborted them (after all I couldn’t really know who was responsible for them). It was during my sixth abortion that the doctor told me that it will take only a miracle to get pregnant again. Now I’m married, no issue. I always block the idea of going for medical check-up any time my husband brings it up. Friends and family have also recommended different doctors and gynaecologist but I always assure my husband that God’s time is the best. I’m really scared now; will my past not expose me one day?

My dear, life doesn't work that way. I have seen several ladies who were more or less prostitutes, and committed several abortions, go on to be proud mothers of several children. I have also seen women who married as virgins and never committed abortion, suffer childlessness in marriage. It's God that gives children, and he gives who he pleases. May God have mercy on you and open your womb.

Sadly, this is the story of many women. Some get away with it while others are aren't so lucky.
