I pray they don't wind up talking to the wrong people and get duped of millions of dollars just as that Fedora scumball was duped by some street hustlers.

In addition, we should take this story with a pinch of salt- not until we hear from the presidential spokesman himself.

Lol negotiation or rather amnesty settlements was always the final destination. This mention of talks is to provide the smoke screen or do you expect Buhari to simply hand over the money?

The problem with negotiating with these people is : will federal govt agree to their terms which is very clear, they want islamic caliphate. Also will they be compasated for droping their arms like it was done in d Niger delta.

If they agree to surrender and go and sin no more I'm all for it. Anything short of that is buldadash.

The Nation newspaper, unfortunately do not comprehend what Boko Haram is. It is very sad that in Nigeria we are so blind that we fail to see a elephant at one, but rather call it a bug. The Boko Haram sect are TERRORISTS, not militants or rebels. Their primary at is to cause terror to the populace. They are not interested in cheap monetary rewards. After all while buy milk when you can take the cow. They make far much more as terrorists than whatever can be offered to them. This is a regional war not local, they are in Chad, Cameroon and Niger. So if we have a deal with them what about their attacks on our neighbours, will that stop too. We need to start seeing this as a war not a campaign. Until then am afraid the Boko Haram will remain the dominant force, and not us

I never expected the man to go killing his people. That shows how wicked these people are! What a shame!! You don't negotiate with terrorists who have been bombing and killing the innocent. May God punish them and their sponsors and sympathizers.

It is.
It is not. These people drink from the same well and think they are fighting for Allah. So stop shifting the blame to other people. Iran is the major national sponsor of terrorism and we know what they believe and who they pray to. Take responsibility for your actions and go tell your people to stop the violence. You know where you people meet.

They will spend billions of Niger Delta resources to appease those who have killed thousands of innocent Nigerians. God will judge them swiftly and His recompense is with Him for these evil doers. Any body that appeased them, God will punish severely.

Boko haram are fighting for virgins, will you give them virgins?

Boko haram are fighting for islamization of Nigeria, will you force all Christians to convert to islam?

Boko haram are fighting against western education, will you shut down all nonislamic schools?

If you cannot meet the above demands. Then what are you negotiating?

Only a foolish government will negotiate with boko haram.

They want to squander money to appease their brothers. That's why they were against Jonathan; they said he was killing their people (Boko Haram) while the Niger Delta militants were enjoying amnesty. They forget Niger Delta Militants were not bombing everywhere and killing people up and down.
My prayer is that God will judge these evil doers and their sponsors and sympathizers.

Even the American are currently in talks with the Taliban.

The Columbia government is in negotiations with the FRAC rebels

Turkey talks with the PKK which just recently collapsed led to a period of about 5yrs of relative peace

Philippines government also gave amnesty to the Abu Sayaf group

It was amnesty and peace talks that ended years of bloodshed between the IRA and the British government.

Let's hear the terms and conditions of the peace talks or amnesty and then we will express our role.

Can't believe the presidency can indulge in negotiating with BH. After all the innocent lives they have wasted for no just reason.

Sounds very stupid to me. I winder the kind of deal that will be struck and Baba is ready to grant them all there requests .

This shows that Baba is sympathetic to them

Nit only Boko Haram. That's what the Muslims are fighting for. I don't have any problems with that if they don't engage their foot soldiers, Boko Haram. If you want to Islamize a place, do it in peace and let your Allah prove his word.

We preach the gospel and let the people believe and receive it all by themselves. God has seen the bloodshed and His face is turned toward the Jihadists and their foot soldiers, Boko Haram.
