Well the governor made a lot of sense but one thing I know is that BH group is not without a very formidable sponsorship, probably by these highly placed Islamic scholars. Come to think of it; Why have these northern elites(not scholars), even the likes of IBB amidst others refused to use there past and present positions and influences to assist in this fight And why have the government been slack in summoning, interrogating and investigating these secretly named sponsors of insurgency All they do is condemn attacks and people keep agonizing, sorrowing and dying daily...Too many questions unanswered! 2 Likes |

LastProphet: Deuteronomy 17: 2 If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant, 3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel: 5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die. The Christian relationship to the Old Testament is kind of confusing. It's often cited as the Old Law that Jesus came to fulfill, relieving (for example) the dietary requirements, and lets you treat passages like this one as no longer relevant. But Christians often cite Old Testament laws (for example, on homosexuality) so it can be a little hard to tell precisely what they believe. There are also New Testament passages cited as justification to kill non-believers, e.g. Luke 19:27: But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. As well as Matthew 10:34: Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 2 Likes 1 Share |

“Changing the ideology of the Boko Haram will require intellectual roles by leading Islamic scholars with mass appeal. “It is most disturbing to note that today in northern Nigeria, there is no single Islamic scholar that preaches against the Boko Haram ideology and the reason is because everyone is afraid" what has been the role of the government if the law is not effective to stop the lawless individuals? 1 Like |

Nigeria should build amajiri schools for boko haram, we should now provide security details for boko haram. Is Islam the only religion in this world? Why can't we have peace and be free from this sewage called religion 2 Likes |

Islam (an apparently beautiful religion) will only be free when it realizes and admits the inherent "poisonous" ideologies" within its faith... As overwhelmingly elaborated in its holy book, the Quran. These impractical ideals of "kill all the infidels/kill all those that disagree with you" is unsustainable! Ask Syria, Afghanistan and Pakistan. When I look at Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey and Morocco and see hope for Islam. Hope for a bright future for the apparently beautiful religion. Islam needs to let go of its clandestine quest to conquer and subdue all of humanity cos that will never happen in 5000 years. It needs to focus more on developing its followers to make positive contribution to society. 2 Likes |

kelsgal:they are keeping quiet at the expense of a large number of innocent pple. If they don't speak now when will they. The only thing needed for evil to prevail is silence of good men. The problem I noticed that some Muslim folks have is covering up the lie of a fellow Muslim. We all know that the religion is perfect the person practicing the religion is the imperfect person. So you attribute his flaws to being that of their religion. If someone is wrong they are wrong don't cover up for them regradless of religion, tribe or blood cos they will still hurt you one day if they continue in their way. Years back the boko haram attacks where aimed at churches, some Muslim folks were rejoicing now some mosque are affected they call it an act of God. Regardless of a person's religion tribe or ideology the a person's death/life should mean something to you. You can cry for your dead dog, or Pity you Christmas chicken or goat when being slaughtered Talk more of a reflection of you with a variation in only religion. 2 Likes |

I agreed with most of the points the governor raised. However, greater chunk of the blame on the boko haram surge goes to the following: 1. Northern elders/leaders 2. Northern elders/leaders 3. Northern elders/leaders 4. Some Sheikh that preach violence to their followers 5. Some media houses eg Sahara reporters etc 6. Opposition parties who see nothing good in the ruling party's moves to curb insurgence but only using the opportunity to score cheap political points 7. Nairaland Boko haram sympathizers 8. Finally, Northern elders/leaders 3 Likes 1 Share |

Prophet Muhammed (S.A.W). Said there would be a time when holding on to your religion would be like holding on to Hot coal. My muslim brothers and sisters we are in that period. This extremists would continue bombing, by the time they are thru half of the d muslim population with "weak emaan" would have converted to christianity or more so run into hiding for the fear of verbal attack or worst physical harm, from those who have been criticising islam from the beginning of time. Then we the true muslims in both "appearance and imaan" would be persecuted both physically and online. BH, ISIL, shabab, are not really after christianity. They are after killing we "peaceful muslims off" they want to topple the saudi goverment cause they are peaceful. The saudi goverment like 3 weeks ago. Arrested over 400 suspected isis followers in saudi. Just like how the Kharijittes were causing problems for Ali ibn Talib (RA). That's wats happening now. Some people converted to islam just to loot and fight wars. That's exactly wat is on display. My muslim brothers and sisters let's not be bothered abt the comments of the christians. Let's be bothered about doing dawah, changing the perception of islam to the few we can. In sydney Australia it is said at least two women revert to islam every week. Meanwhile in a country like nigeria, see ladies removing their hijab so they can be "Hip". For my christian brothers if you keep depending on hearse u wouldn't know islam. Read Read. For the road to hell is very Wide and paved with ease and comfort. But the road to heaven is paved with sacrificing ones desire, remembering ones lord constantly. No one owns the rights to heaven. Keep that in mind. For on that day jesus would deny a lot of you. Peace 6 Likes 1 Share |

bolayod: There will be no time to waste explaining the contexts of these your quotes which will put out your fire in just seconds and I know even you are aware you are quoting completely out-of-context passages to make a blind point. So let us move to summaries: the only question I have for you here right now is to tell me which of these passages or any passage at all in the bible that you have EVER HEARD A CHRISTIAN QUOTE BEFORE KILLING ANYBODY (even another christian) AT ANYTIME ANYWHERE ON THIS EARTH. Please stick to recent and verifiable evidences since the first trick of Islam is to always quote things that are in antiquity that cannot be easily verified. So please I am waiting, I dont mind leaving my work today. 3 Likes |

I don't why I don't wanna denounce islam..... There is always some logical explanation...... Except for the justification of slavery On the other hand...... I think the worst of them all is christianity...... The religion is filled with hypocrisy.... It practically shares the same analogy with the Quran.... They both endorse slavery and violence with verses to back em' up But when you point it out..... They give lame excuses, you want us to believe in a book and disregard the evil text in it.....when a muslim does the same, they say he is not a true muslim...... How ironic!!! All in all.... These imported religions should be scrapped...... They are not helping matters |

mohammedmagnus: Pls illuminate me about how Islam was spread in Nigeria. Mr Peaceful Muslims... How many churches was bombed at the waking of BH?... The fact still remain, If Muhammed preached Islam and spread it using Peace, there won't have been any case of Jihad we are seeing today. so, the founder layed a wrong foundation. 2 Likes |
