In our country, people seem not to appreciate vehicles older than a decade.

The rave is for newer cars.

People who own old cars are automatically rated as 'struggling' on the economic ladder.

Is it possible to create a desire amongst our present generation for these vehicles? A desire to maintain them and keep them in top notch condition for the coming generation?

We all have nostalgic feelings when we remember how some vehicles dominated our roads in the 70s and 80s.

I remember my school's principal. He owned a Datsun 120Y. My Dad owned a Datsun Stanza, a couple of Peugeots, our neighbours owned a beetle 1500 and a Bluebird etc.

These vehicles are no longer common in Nigeria.

You however travel and still see some of these cars in top shape.

Can we start the revival?
who wil show us his or her tortise car?

I drive a peugeot 505 as a private vehicle but here in my neighbourhood in lagos, people seem to think it's a kabu kabu. Occasionally, you'd see them trying to flag down the car when they see me inside (young looking guy oo) or maybe when I'm cruising with windows down, some riffraffs would be asking for free ride sad I don't just gerrit!

Sorry Bro about ur experience of people flagging u down & assuming dat ur well maintained Peugeot 505 is a taxi. Abeg pls keep maintaining the ride well & be proud of it.

I left Offa after service year!!
The cars in Offa were not your Peugeot or Mercs.
They were by far much more iconic than than those brands.
I wish someone would do that .

This is my baby, Peugeot 505 V6 5-speed manual, 1986 production. Picture was taken recently.

I am the only guy that drives a V6 505 in Abuja city, and a clean one. The gaze I get from people while driving past is thrilling, with my windows up.

I love that Lion!

As yet, all those Peugeot 504/505/04
will hardly ever qualify for Classic. No way.
Even Toyota Crown is not seen as a Classic yet.
AGE!AAGE! And AGE define Classic and not my Dad had a car like this or that.
Imagine someone mention a Bluebird on this thread of Classic cars!!
