@Ferdimako..@bellong @NNBB2012 Thanks for your candid advice......but i still encounter difficulties in assessment. my wife will be principal applicant....she has BSC economics..she has 5yrs work experience as microfinance bank manager.and 35yrs of age..to be assesed by vetasses ANZSCO code 224311. . 1.i find it difficult to locate the occupation that economics degree support. 2.what can i do as partner to add more points to her application. 3.is vetasses accept PTE for English proficiency. thanks sir. |

ola30:No financial occupations? Read vetassess site very well...her duties now matter a lot too. If u don't get a positive outcome from ur own skills assessment, u can't donate any points. And I think ur HND won't get u any occupation unless u see any that goes with Australian diploma equivalent and it has to be on the same category. Check with them if it is only IELTS GT or not. Come on, I think Vetassess doesn't need any English Test. Bossladymo did her skills assessment before IELTS. Guy, read up abeg. Go to www.border.gov.au too. |
I'm about to submit my documents to Vetassess... Please, which is preferable between paper based application and online application? Thanks. #BringBackOurBossLadyMo[/quote If there is an opportunity for an online application, you should go for it. |

chase123:No, I didn't know anything of such by then. But of course, I got my skills assessed as I was planning to apply for PR. |

Hello House, I urge all of you to continue this fight to bring Bosslady back, I know Justwise can do something, whatever wrong she did on her posting to be banned, she didn't do it purposely, for the sake of this thread and for love sake, pls un-ban her let her come back. She is very helpful here and as Oga Justwise will know deep down in his mind, "she didn't do anything/post on purpose or for personal interests." pls, she is helpful here. #BringBackOurBossLadyMo#. |

ola30:She can nominate 'Economist' as an occupation and get assessed by Vetasses. She doesn't need English test for assessment but of course, she will need it incase she doesn't have enough points. Considering her circumstance, this is the breakdown of her points: Age-25, Bsc-15,Experience-10=50points. As it is, she is able to apply for 489 visa without an English test. I will strongly advise her to give PTE-Academics a go, she might get 10points for English which brings her points to 60points. With 60points, she would be over qualified for State nomination. The occupation-Economist is on CSOL list which means she can only be sponsored by a state. Really, you don't need assessment. Worst case scenario, you will get a 489 visa, which is a temporary visa for 2yrs before getting PR. Your action point now is get your wife to arrange the required documents for assessment and run with it. |

NNBB2012: Thanks for your advice....really appreciate it.....going for the assesessment straight....will get back to you sir as the events unfold.thanks. |

NNBB2012:Good one ...but she needs a competent level of an English test at DIBP stage if at all she doesn't need it for the migration points. |
Good one ...but she needs a competent level of an English test at DIBP stage if at all she doesn't need it for the migration points.[/quote Sincerely, she doesn't need it provided she could get her required points without English. For the secondary applicant, it is not even compulsory to have 4.5 in Ielts or equivalent. A letter that shows he was taught for at least five years in either secondary or University will suffice. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by Nobody: 3:14pm On Jul 27, 2015 |

Yes I know that for the dependent but d PA must have the competent level if migration points are not being sought unless she has a British, American, Irish or Canadian passport. |

Why are pple so naive here?...go and attack moderators & administrators. Even Justwise quoted what their rules are and that if found with another ID, she could be banned...una no talk to Justwise oh. This is just silly...pick the right battle for once. What is hashtag? And likes? Na me bar BossLady? This is a typical Nigerian thingy-attacking soft spots and avoiding pple who hurt them. NNBB2012:hi,you mentioned indicating Australia permanent residency on the CV and routing our Nigeria number to an Australia number on skype, what if the person receives a call from an Australian Employer while he is in Nigeria, with the employer thinking he is in Australia and tells the applicant to report to the office the next day for interview.what is the way out |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 12:33am On Jul 28, 2015 |
ferdimako:Yes, you are right. At least competent English is required. That one she doesn't need much preparation to get that one. In my case, I did English test because I needed it then. |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 12:40am On Jul 28, 2015 |
chuckdee13: In my own case, I put everything about me in Nigeria on my CV then and they still called me. Anyway, that was about 4years ago, so things have changed now. It is really hard to get such opportunity these days except your skill is really scarce to get here in Australia. The so-called idea is specifically for the PR holders who can fly in to Australia to attend interview or request that interview should be scheduled so that they can prepare for their trip. I mentioned it to one PR holder that assisted to come over here and he did it while still in the UK. Honestly, it worked for him and was able to attend interviews qucikly. |

jbadmus: Read the previous posts you will get the information you need. But I can assure you that you are eligible considering your degree. |

ferdimako: If you must quote me do that correctly, you just twisted my words |
Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by NNBB2012: 12:52am On Jul 28, 2015 |
chase123: This applies to PR holder who can fly in to Australia at short notice. Most employers give at least 1 week notice before interview. And besides, you can come out plain that where you are it won't be possible to make it to Australia hence you can request for either phone-in interview or skype interview. Even in Australia, you might be in a state and they call you for job in another state; you have the right to tell them whether you can make it or not and they will understand. I got a job with an Oil and gas company in another state and guess what, the interview that I was supposed to attend physically was done over the phone. |

erictack203: There is little or nothing i can do in this case, i have asked and was told that she was banned for spamming which surprises me to say the least considering the length of the ban You guy can email the admin to plead on her behalf or open a thread in general or food section and politely state your case for her. |

justwise: Let me note that this is not a new profile, just relaying a message check my profile for my sign up date. "Spamming is sending unsolicited messages to a large number of people. I did not spam. I put up a post just like every other Nairalander does. Yes I put up the post in 2 different sections, but that's because I did not know which exact category it fell under. Someone maliciously and fraudulently took over a group on facebook. Anyone who is a member of So You Think You Can Cook should know the gist. A certain Franklin Awodiya decided to remove other admins and make him self the sole admin in a group he did not create, all because the other members refused to turn the group into a money-raising venture. It was a Facebook coup. The other admin decided to spread the word. All I did was post the screenshots and messages that were being passed around the net, on NL Food and Celebrity section. It is not far-fetched to say the person who banned me is a friend of Franklin Awodiya. There are a lot of UK people here, and the Franklin person is a UK person. And to say that was the first and only time I ever visited the Food and Celebrity section." End msg |
