House,as i was tracking with my mesh dish(3m) i noticed that when i insert my ku lnb(fuji),the stations i get are the same with the ones with 90cm offset dish. Can't i receive other stations that 90cm can't get.Can i get program National @ 5'west with it?Does program National show Live matches? My request are much,I just need an answer before climbing the ladder.Thanks.

Good work bro,pls can u try Turksat 42e and NSS@57e with ur 3m in lokoja and let's have some feedback. Some football-loving channels are hidden on those two SATs.
I am only receiving one freq there 12588 v 22500
Thinking of bringing down the dish and reinstalling all over with a new lnb like digisat.

you may not get national with 3m mesh@your location..the signal quality is low 3m/mesh is just like tracking with 2m pan dish..on Ku band only..

My suggestions:
1) I agree with you to bring down the dish and reconfigure the petals(usually 5 in number for local dishes).
That is, leave petal 1 in its position, take petal 2 to position 5, then petal 5 to position 3 and then petal 3 to position 2...this just an example.
I hope you understand what I mean.

2) The diameter of the neck of your dish is abit small (its like that of a 1.8M dish from the picture).

I don't know how to help you on that but I know that when I order those local dishes from Kaduna to Jos, I don't use the neck that comes with it because its usually too small for the size..so I have a guy that's is very good with fabrication that matches the dish size esp if I am going to motorize it.

I think you should look into that.
Also , I am fine with your choice of opting for digisat dual or quad.

Cheers

Infact, it is smaller than the neck of my 1.8m dish because I adjusted that neck from my 1.8m neck. I want to change the location of the pole and bring the dish very low to the ground. I am thinking of maybe selling this dish and getting a 4m fiber or pan dish. Those around Northern Nigeria should be able to receive most satellites with this size.

I am awaiting someone with a 4m pan installation in south south region to see the power of the signal by these local pan dishes.

Why Beinsport on hotbird?Go for canal family, canal sport and fox sport on the same sat.if you have this you need not import any dish.
You can't compare 3.5m with 3m that 0.5m goes a long way.
In the mean time I will be working on 4.2m dish in my workshop.

That fiber dish I was referring to is a 3.8m dish used by an expatriate. That should be the trick. A 3m dish in Lokoja according to installers here cannot receive hotbird except from at least a 3.6m dish.
Which means the local pan dish from ogojohn is still OK but limited by its size.

If 3m can be this dull on hotbird in Lokoja that means it won't even show any green in Benin city, the option for me now is 4m but it's very expensive and I lack space. I have decided to buy CTL at least the money for 4m can give me 3 years subscription.

Don't be too hasty in drawing conclusions my dear fellow resident. A good 3m fibre dish here in benin is sure to fetch u good signals in all canal channels and others but don't think of getting bein sports. I get Sky Italia, Canal, HBO, Rai, and others very well on my 3.4m. However due to the undying love for FTA I want to upgrade to the next level.

LOL I can bet it with you you will still go for the 4m.its not because people can't afford dstv but the fun in do it yourself is the factor here.

Imagine you have CTL and you are comfortable with it and one day you enter the forum and discover new things you will forgo the CTL and face the reality of FTA which is DIY.
Its a serious disease no doctor can cure it.imagine an old man of 70 yrs.still tracking in Hungary I can't believe the sickness too affect the aged people.

The dish seller told me to come over to Kaduna if I want to purchase the dish. Its a 4m foreign fiber dish. I am looking for a way to transport it because the dish seller is not interested in making provision for that. That should be the cheapest I have seen for 4m fiber. His 3m fiber is about 35k.

Someone from this forum just called me earlier that he receives hotbird including canal plus on his 2.6m dish in Ilorin. At times, you cannot predict these beams.

It depends on the sports.cycling, swimming, boxing football, snooker just name them they all have feeds on big dish.its the responsibility of the owner to keep feed hunting. If you can visit some sites you get keys to view this channel.even in the Europe some die hard satellites lovers choose feed hunting.last season I watched most of my champions league on FTA but on big dish.contentment is the key word what you see is what you get on fixed dish on motorise you get so much.
Its a pure fun.
You can chose not to pay or choose paid TV its a choice.
