I don't agree with you on Fidelity bank. As at 2013, entry level was N80k. When did it sky rocket to 140k?

Fidelity bank entry level pay is 2.1 million, when you remove tax it amounts to 140k monthly.

Zenith entry level is contract and they are paid 75k

That's if it had been elevated . My brother works with zenith as a contract staff and he says once u are taken as a contract staff is not an assurance you will eventually move to full time staff . And he said people he met at the bank that has been working for like 3yrs still earn what they were earning at the start ... and that's 59k

A lot of people don't know the difference between contract staff, direct sales agent, bvn registration agent and a full staff. No bank currently pays full staff below 1 million a year net pay.

Oga

Am not talking about access bank but zenithbank

If secretary employed by peopleplus earn upto 100k how much does the note counter that has the same qualification of that secretary earn?

How much those peopleplus are employing as new intake (b.sc) earn now?

Oga zenithbank is nothing but a shiit
Ephemmm:

Chief! I don't have time for frivolous arguments. A Secretary employed as outsourced staff by Peoplesplus is collecting close to 100k, not to talk of the authentic staff of the Bank and you are here arguing about something you know nothing about.

If you get your fact right from Access too, call me bastard if Graduate Trainee's salary is not around 220/230 net.
Re: What Nigerian Banks Pay Their Workers by sajolor(m): 5:10pm On Jul 29, 2015
What about their contact staff, most banks nowadays uses contract staff.

Some pay 60k and others less.

And most banks takes more of these contract staff to allow them amass more wealth

OP, you didn't include it there that most of them don't employ HND holders as permanent staff. Awon oloriburuku gbogbo. And I don't blame them much: it's the government's fault.
The most annoying part is that most of the work are done by ND holders and they just pay them "owo eko ati akara".
I hope government will do something about those stupid policies.
seriously! 140,000 naira the maximum banks staffs get paid in nigeria, the amount i buy one pair of shoes with, perhaps i should be careful with my spending.

To me oh,this amount is small compared to some govt jobs and multinational companies, and moreover bank jobs aren't secured, they can sack you anyhow,anytime,anywhere......But anywhere you find yourself, give Jah praise.

I was making over 200k monthly for over 10years and it was still management for me but nevertheless i honestly do not see 100k as reasonable but in the absence of none i guess its manageable.
Re: What Nigerian Banks Pay Their Workers by otiigba1(m): 5:21pm On Jul 29, 2015
What!? Pocket money! Over here banks cashier get £1200(420,000 naira) to start with and then upwards, depending on position and experience

Besides it was never a mortgage bank. It transited from a merchant bank to a full fledged commercial bank under Nebolisa Arah. I was earning slightly higher than that figure as a Senior Banking Executive which is not too low by any standard. My next grade would have been an AM. Of course i left shortly after.

Is this salary structure for contract staffs or what...
I dont even trust the data its a bit high considering the fact that banks are down-sizing their work force due to harsh economic environment...

N200k a month?
It is mostly true.....that is why my friend who works with first bank says there are just 5 full staff in his branch and the remaining staff are contract staff numbering 15.....by d way he resumed there oct 2014 and he receives 185k basic salary

I told you that a Secretary, who is an outsourced staff is collecting close to 100k, mind you, majority of them are HND holders. However, who told you that a Note Counter is originally employed by Zenith Bank?

May be you or your friend who is working as a Note Counter in Zenith has been mislead by the fact that you are interviewed in the Zenith premises. For your information, Note Counters, CSO, Secretaries, Dispatch Riders, Security Officers etc are directly under the employment of Peopleplus Management and Services Ltd: they are not a staff of Zenith Bank, but they work in Zenith Bank.

If an outsourced staff is collecting up to that, what give you premonition that the original staff will be receiving lesser? In Labour market of nowadays, the question is not whether you are a Bsc holder or not, but the mode of employment in an organization.

Zenith, Access and First Bank pays much to their staff and not the 'contract staff' you are ranting about here.

You need to wake up from your deep slumber.
