The loyalty of the DSS boss is to the Nation first because he has constitutional mandate. The position of DSS is not like the NSA or Ministers. When PMB fenced off the DSS, the wailers were crying that the DSS is statutorily empowered to protect the President as Presidential bodyguards.

Now, PMB has made someone he trusts the head of his bodyguards and the puppies are wailing again.

I really don't see a big deal in a appointing a person who has political leanings to head the agency, however that Mr Daura is too close for comfort to the president, and the APC generally.
