hinwazaka:Yea, but in any rumour, there is always elements of truth, except if EFCC in its now notorious incompetence or deliberate acts, do a shoddy job at investigation and/or prosecution. |

Am happy to see the EFCC back on track, clearly it shows that the EFCC is not independent, but is dependent on the government of the day. However, the arrests so far seem one sided, as only individuals loyal to the past government have been quizzed. Saraki's case clearly is a witch hunt (though I think its long overdue). I hope the government of PMB truly gives EFCC the power of independence |

shalomm: Simple because you think they were corrupt- and you hate them without looking at the truth, they never stole their states money, for close to 7years that tinubu was governor of lagos state OBJ seized lagos state funds because of the development councils, lagos state had to generate it own money from taxes, and land use- while being denied of world bank funding, because it was not a PDP state- and you say tinubu is corrupt, if something is work right would you change it or improve upon it? Alfa beta consulting is collecting taxes directly and indirectly through the use of accountants (consultants) all over lagos your people come from the east and because they are accountants they are given area's to go and collect taxes and remit such through ABConsulting and you say tinubu is corrupt - if he is corrupt that is the type of corruption nigeria needs- that would create employment for all in-respect of where they come from, create an alternative source of income for governance and try and drive it higher - 4 Likes 1 Share |

Since, Efcc was inactive in d last administration, ur types didn't say they were playing to the gallery. Now they're active, u now see them as 'playing to the gallery'. If what they're doing right now is playing to the gallery of this administration, they should play more. hinwazaka: 1 Like |

Amaechi followed a suspect (El Rufai) to the DSS' office. Dino followed a suspect (Toyin Saraki) to the EFCC's office. Simple as APC. |

nelandrewz:EFCC in the last dispensation worked with facts and figures and not trumped up calculations. They weren't media addicts, but rather gathered all evidence before going to the courts. Today you see them working with hearsay , bogus petitions and beer parlour gossips. This is not the watchman we need. Say what you want, but the truth is that the last administration was a stickler for rules and processes 2 Likes |

nelandrewz:Also learn something new Playing to the gallery: To spend time doing or saying things that will make people admire or support you, instead of dealing with more important matters. Eg: politicians these days are more interested in Playing to the gallery than exercising real influence on world's events. |

Only few people on this thread are sensible enough to know that one sided fighting of corruption will certainly fail.the hausas and Yorubas that worked with GEJ,are they not also thieves.this so called PMB scam of fighting corruption while the bigger looters are all in his entourage will fail.this administration pattern of putting out another man's candle will not make theirs brighter. He who has not committed same sin should cast the first stone. |

nelandrewz:Court cases were handled with little or no influence from the executive The electoral body was made more viable and constructive to allow for fair competition The subsidy removal issue was first debated at a town hall meeting before the bungled implementation All the arms of government were part and parcel of every decision by the executive. Eg: The ECA court case which saw the government reverse a directive already agreed on The media was given more teeth with the passage of the FOI bill to allow for easy access to the governments files This and many more showed a fair improvement in the government's respect for the rule of law 1 Like |

philips70:Closing cases with abuse to laid down legal rules and regulations is a crime on its own. In the legal world a prosecuting attorney has to be very meticulous in his gathering and presentation of evidence to the court. A little crack could burst the dam. Have you ever wondered why most of the cases by the EFCC from time immemorial were always thrown out in court And FYI: There were many cases closed by the EFCC under the last dispensation.Eg: The CBN money laundering case started in 2014 Murtala Nyako was charged to court under the last administration |
