Good day I recently won a masters scholarship to study in a skul in the UK. Five yrs ago, I was denied visa wen I wanted to attend the graduation of my cousin due to insufficient ties to Nigeria and bank statement errors. Now,while filling d form online, there wasn't enough space to write out al d reasons for denial of visa den, so I was advised to write insufficient ties to Nigeria since d new scholarship doesn't need my personal bank statement...pls I hope, it isn't withdrawal of info... Also, I was advised earlier on not to seek for accomodation in the skul because it is expensive, so I intend seeking for accomodation outside the campus. So if asked about where I intend staying in the UK, wat do u tink I shud tel dem at d visa office... Lastly, I rounded up my Nigerian masters programme( did project defense)...but nt yet given certificate/statement of result to back it up...so if asked that wat av I bin doing since graduation, should I tel dem I just finished my masters programme... won't dey ask for documents to back it up...pls am eager for genuine answer...thanks |

askari01 If someone is going for a church anniversary in the UK , 1. what kind of Visa should she apply for ? General or Tourist or Business Visa? GENERAL VISA 2. What is the main address and contact details of where you will be staying whilst in the UK? does this mean the Hotel or the church contact? HOTEL 3. Do you have savings, properties or other income, for example from stocks and shares? Does this includes Credit Thrift Union(alajeseku)? YES 4. The cost of your accommodation? The cost of Hotel booked for her is 744ponds .... Should she write 774 and explain in the addition info that the church has paid for hotel or write N/A cos the church stated in the invitation letter that they will do so? YES, WRITE 744 BUT EXPLAIN IN THE ADDITIONAL INFO SECTION THAT THE CHURCH WILL BE PAYING FOR HER ACCOMMODATION 5. The cost of your living expenses? what does this mean when they have asked enough question already? THIS MEANS COST OF FEEDING AND TRANSPORTATION WHILST IN THE UK FOR THE ENTIRE DURATION OF HER VISIT 6. Name of Organisation- nairaland bible church, YES, IF THEY ARE THE ONES INVITING HER 7. Type of Business- Charitable organisation Ngo what should she write pls.... MOST CHURCHES IN THE UK ARE REGISTERED CHARITIES. CONFIRM IF THIS IS THE CASE FOR THIS CHURCH BY GOING TO THE WEBSITE OF THE UK CHARITY COMMISSION TO SEE IF THEY ARE LISTED Your response will be appreciated , Just wanna be sure before given her any advise. p.s. i hope your mum has a decent bank balance. also include documents proving any property she might own . for example, shop allocation documents from the local government, etc |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by zoomzu(f): 2:41pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
FrontPageLawyer: @ Poster, It is good to include your salary account irrespective of what the balance is, it is just to show that your are connected to that organisation after all, you are not the one paying for the trip. Ensure you indicate you available for the trip as provided by the organisation and when it gets to a section where you are being asked, who is paying for this trip, put your organisation. I had less than that in my account when I applied but my organisation provided all the papers for my visa and £2,047 for my trip including DSA. You are good to go. Don't forget to include photographs that shows your personality professional wise, be it meetings, delivering lectures, installations and sort of. I wish you all the best. Justwise was my guide during my application and my visa came quicker than expected. Just 5 days. |

Am really glad I got a reply, Thanks a lot. Please what are the documents that I need to provide for I and my 1year and 7 month son Read something about the tuberculosis test, is it really necessary? And also about the insurance fee Am also worried about the home tie issue cus I don't really have any to show to them, i dont any property or business or even a pamernent job i mean obviously am engaged but he is in UK and I will be travelling with my kid. I have a lump sum of 500k deposited 2 times by my brother this month making it a million in one month, Please advice,,,,, how do I go about it? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by zoomzu(f): 2:46pm On Jul 31, 2015 |
kaverd: Bros, just stick to information earlier provided because they have it in their database. I don't think your parent DOB is a material fact to your application unless you are submitting a paper that has your parent DOB on it. Do they know when my parents were born. It is what you tell them that they will know, just be consistent with the information you are giving them. 1 Like |
