Even with the co-signer international students should be careful because unless you are sure you can work in the US after to repay the loans, you can get hit by exchange rates and also lower comparable salaries in Nigeria e.g. Imagine having to make monthly repayments in USD with the way the naira has been falling. Santaclaus, there is absolutely no you can survive with $10/hr to pay semester fee of $12,000. It is better you start looking into Community Colleges, then after your 2 years associates, you can go ahead and do your OPT (12-17 months). That still wouldn't help except you plan on using the saved cash to pursue your GC. |
